After weeks of swirling rumors and social media buzz, Shauwn Mkhize—better known as MaMkhize—has finally addressed the big question: Will her son Andile Mpisane be playing for her new eSwatini football club? The short answer? Nope.

While many fans were quick to assume Andile would suit up for Mbabane Highlanders AM FC—especially given the “AM” in the name—MaMkhize has made it clear: her son’s football boots may be shelved for good.

New Club, New Chapter—But Not for Andile

MaMkhize recently signed a three-year deal to become president of Mbabane Highlanders AM FC, one of eSwatini’s top football teams.

This exciting move comes just months after her South African club, Royal AM, was seized by SARS due to a massive R40 million tax debt.

Given the headlines, many assumed this was Andile’s chance to reboot his soccer career in a new country.

But according to his mom, that’s not the direction he’s headed.

From the Field to the Front Office

Speaking during a candid interview with Andile Ncube on Metro FM, MaMkhize revealed that Andile is now more interested in running football from behind the scenes.

“He wants to be in the management space now,” she shared.

“I don’t see him going [to eSwatini], but he enjoys being on the business side of things.”

When asked directly if Andile had officially retired from playing, she hesitated a bit: “I don’t know, but for now, I think so.”

Andile’s Playing Dreams May Be Over

MaMkhize explained that even during his time with Royal AM, Andile had already started exploring the administrative side of the game.

“All that he wanted was to play in the elite league – and he did.

He tasted that,” she said, hinting that he may have already achieved his personal football goals.

So, What’s Next for Andile?

With his football career seemingly on pause—or possibly over altogether—Andile Mpisane may be shifting focus to his music and lifestyle passions.

The 24-year-old is already building a name in the music scene, and he’s just as famous for his love of luxury cars, designer clothes, and the flashy life he frequently showcases on social media.

Fans Weigh In on His Next Move

As fans adjust to the idea of Andile stepping away from football, many are now wondering where he’ll pour his energy next.

Will he dive deeper into music? Launch a new business? Or maybe expand his exotic car collection?

Whatever comes next, it’s clear that MaMkhize and her son are entering a new chapter—one that’s more about strategy, leadership, and luxury than goals and goalscorers.
