Sahara Power Group Launches Graduate Engineering Programme to Train Early Career Engineers at Egbin and FIPL Plants

Are you a fresh engineering graduate looking to kickstart your career in the power sector? Sahara Power Group is on the hunt for early-career engineers to join its Technical & Innovation Academy.

This structured Graduate Engineering Programme is designed to nurture the next generation of power professionals at its Egbin and FIPL plants, offering a blend of hands-on experience, mentorship, and a clear path into the energy industry.

Why Joining This Academy Is a Big Deal

Sahara Power Group isn’t just any energy company — it’s one of the largest privately owned power firms in sub-Saharan Africa.

Joining the academy means you’ll get real insight into how a major power company runs, from the nuts and bolts of plant operations to the strategic side of energy management.

Through rotational assignments, graduates get exposure to different parts of a power plant, learning both technical skills and business-savvy decision-making.

On top of that, mentorship from experienced engineers and fully sponsored accommodation means you can focus entirely on learning and growing.

This isn’t just a temporary gig — it’s a gateway to future leadership opportunities within one of Africa’s most significant energy players.

What You’ll Gain From the Programme

Rotational Exposure Across Departments

You’ll work in multiple areas of power plant operations — from maintenance to projects to day-to-day plant operations. This hands-on approach helps you understand how every piece of the power-generation puzzle fits together.

Expert Mentorship

Industry veterans will guide you every step of the way, offering technical guidance, career advice, and insights into the energy sector.

Fully Sponsored Accommodation

No need to stress about where you’ll stay. Comfortable lodging is provided so you can concentrate fully on learning and gaining experience.

Career Growth

You’ll receive a structured development plan, ongoing feedback, and coaching to help you prepare for potential long-term roles within Sahara’s power business.
