Kelly Brook had her first official jungle shower moment on Wednesday’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! as she joined campmates Shona McGarty and Alex Scott for a dip in the creek.
The 45-year-old former glamour model showed she wasn’t afraid to get playful, donning a palm-leaf print swimsuit and pulling her hair into a high bun.
The trio were soon joking around in the water when Kelly declared herself “Jungle Woman” and pulled Shona in for a splash.
But their fun ended abruptly when leeches appeared, sending them scrambling out of the water. Kelly told the Bush Telegraph:
“We were seconds away from being covered in leeches and eaten alive.
Oh my god! We just could not get out of that pool quick enough.”
Bikini Prep and Jungle Strategy
Before arriving in the camp, Kelly admitted to the Mail on Sunday that she took her bikini game seriously.
She packed multiple swimsuits and even had them screen-tested by ITV to decide which would look best on camera.
“I’ve got loads of different brands,” she explained.
“We haven’t actually selected the ones I’m going to wear yet.
They’ve all gone off to wardrobe to get tested on camera, so they’ll decide for me.”
Kelly reflected on her transformation since her Page Three days, reminding viewers she’s no longer a 20-year-old glamour model:
“Life changes and your body changes, and I just hope people are accepting of me and how I look now.”
Taking Notes from Jungle History
Kelly revealed she had spoken to fellow presenter Myleene Klass, who caused a stir in her 2006 jungle shower in a white bikini.
While Kelly admired Myleene’s iconic moment, she acknowledged it wasn’t something that could be recreated:
“That white bikini moment was fate. It was meant to be, and that was her moment,” she said.
The model-turned-presenter emphasized she packed a variety of swimsuits to give herself options, showing she was carefully planning her jungle wardrobe.
From Screen to Jungle: A Career of Bold Choices
Kelly previously appeared in the erotic thriller Survival Island with ex-boyfriend Billy Zane, showcasing her gym-toned frame.
Though some of her scenes were too risqué for her comfort, she insisted on removing them, though the final release didn’t reflect her request.
Once crowned FHM’s “sexiest woman in the world,” Kelly now wants to highlight her brains as well as her beauty, using her jungle stint to show multiple sides of herself to the public.
Kelly’s New Business Venture
Capitalizing on her jungle fame, Kelly plans to launch an Italian food brand with her husband, Jeremy Parisi.
The pair have applied for a trademark on the name Parisi Arpino, intending to sell pizzas, pasta, sauces, olive oils, meats, and cheeses.
Lawyers are reviewing the application, and if approved, it will last ten years.
Kelly’s Jungle exposure will serve as a perfect platform to boost interest in her new venture while keeping her fans engaged with her personality and humor.
