Vogue Williams Announces She Will Join I’m A Celebrity to Shake Up Her Comfortable Life in Australia After Turning 40

To the outside world, Vogue Williams has it all — a thriving TV career, a high-profile marriage, and three young children.

But the Irish presenter has admitted she needs a shake-up in her life, revealing she is joining I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here to get out of her comfort zone after turning 40 in October.

The Mail can reveal that Vogue is set to appear as a “late entry” contestant on tonight’s episode.

She landed in Australia on Monday and is due to head into the camp on Thursday alongside Celebs Go Dating star Tom Read-Wilson, 39.

Straying from Comfort and Control

Vogue, who posed on the beach in Surfer’s Paradise in a crisp white Figue skirt and simple t-shirt, explained why she’s taking the plunge.

“I’m too comfortable in life,” she said. “I sleep with four pillows just for me.

I think you have to push yourself out of your comfort zone.

Since turning 40, I feel like I’m stuck in my ways a bit.

I like to walk around the park a certain way, I like things a certain way. I just want to be jolted back.”

For someone used to planning every detail, the uncertainty of the jungle is part of the thrill.

“No one tells you what’s happening at all,” she admitted. “I didn’t even know when I was going in.

Now I know I am going in, but I don’t know how.

For someone who loves control, that’s really weird to have all of that taken away.”

A Familiar Face for ITV

Vogue isn’t new to ITV. She has previously filled in for Lorraine Kelly on her daytime show and appeared on Loose Women, making her a natural fit for the network’s reality line-up.

She joins a camp already featuring glamour model Kelly Brook, social media star Angry Ginge, rapper Aitch, and Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp, all of whom entered last Saturday.

Family Life on Pause

At home, life is just as busy. Vogue is married to Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, whose family ties include Pippa Middleton.

Together, they share three children: Theodore, six, Gigi, four, and Otto, two.

Spencer, meanwhile, isn’t in London to support his wife.

He is attempting a staggering challenge: seven Ironman triathlons on seven continents in 21 days.

That means he won’t be watching Vogue cross the famous I’m A Celebrity bridge or greeting her at the end.

A Family Secret to Keep

Hyper-organised as ever, Vogue has already completed her Christmas shopping and packed her children’s meals for her two-week jungle adventure, which ends on December 8.

She admitted she had to be careful keeping the secret from her kids, joking, “They have bigger mouths than me.”

Past Reality Show Drama in the Family

Reality TV isn’t new to the Matthews family. In 2015, Spencer was due to enter the jungle as a late arrival but withdrew after admitting to taking steroids for a charity boxing match.

Producers deemed it unsafe for him to participate.

Vogue, who was previously married to Westlife singer Brian McFadden until 2017, said she is approaching the jungle experience without overthinking.

“I’ve done nothing to prepare,” she confessed.

“My only real worry now is missing Spencer, the kids, and my family.”
