For months, social media buzzed with speculation about what 19-year-old Barron Trump whispered to President Joe Biden during his father’s inauguration earlier this year.
Now, his older brother Eric has finally cleared the air.
The Handshake That Caught Everyone’s Attention
During the ceremony inside the Capitol Rotunda, Barron approached Biden and outgoing Vice President Kamala Harris to shake hands.
Cameras captured the brief moment, and many online viewers immediately began to wonder what the youngest Trump had whispered into the president’s ear.
Some even joked or speculated that the message might have been cheeky—or even pointed.
Eric Trump Sets the Record Straight
Speaking with Megyn Kelly during a live show in Miami, Eric Trump shared the truth about the exchange.
“One night I call Barron and I go, ‘Buddy, what did you actually say?’ And it was something so polite I almost wouldn’t even get it right.
But like, ‘Congratulations, and best of luck to you,’ or something very respectable,” Eric explained.
He added humorously:
“Patrick Bet David, I was on his show and he goes, ‘Did Barron really tell Biden to go f himself?’ He just doesn’t have that in him.
He’s probably thinking it, he definitely has it up here, but he’s too courteous to actually say it.”
A Young Gentleman Recognized
Barron’s gesture received praise from observers across the political spectrum.
Many noted the young college freshman’s maturity and respect, highlighting that the handshake and polite words spoke volumes about his upbringing by Melania Trump.
“I was very impressed by that gesture and from someone so young.
To go across the aisle and shake their hands was a very classy and mature thing to do.
Good for Barron,” commented one social media user.
Others echoed the sentiment, calling him a “true gentleman” and praising Melania for raising him well.
Life at College and Home
While Barron has generally stayed out of the public eye since the inauguration, reports suggest he has experienced challenges adjusting to college life and public attention.
Some accounts have mentioned teasing by peers and navigating the complexities of growing up in the spotlight.
However, his father Eric and other family sources have reassured that Barron is doing well.
He has reportedly spent time with family, including his granddaughter Kai, and even hosted a romantic date at Trump Tower under tight security measures, temporarily shutting down a floor for privacy and safety.
Academic Pursuits and the Future
Barron is currently a student at the Stern School of Business at New York University and is expected to graduate in 2028.
Despite the occasional public intrigue and media attention, he continues to focus on his studies while balancing life in a very high-profile family.
