Whether she’s dazzling on TV or sharing envy-worthy bikini photos from her sun-kissed holidays, Amanda Holden always seems to strike the perfect pose.
But as it turns out, there’s a little more behind the magic than just good genes and lighting.
At 54, the Britain’s Got Talent judge isn’t gatekeeping her secrets.
Instead, in a candid chat at London’s five-star Claridge’s hotel, Amanda opened up about everything—from fake tan hacks to why she’s stocked up on discontinued shimmer lotion… and even how she keeps cameramen in line while filming in Greece.
The Glow-Up Secret? Fake Tan, Blur Cream, and Great Light
Amanda swears by fake tan to get that radiant beachy look—even though she admits she didn’t use to bother with it.
“I love the sun, just not on my face or hands,” she said with a laugh.
“But fake tan makes a real difference—it gives you a glow, and when you feel good, it shows.”
Her go-to? A £48 body shimmer that she’s had to stockpile from eBay because it’s no longer available in stores.
“I bought about 12 bottles of this one by Revolution—it’s amazing,” she confessed.
She also applies body blur on her knees, joking, “You’ve got to blur the knees at 54!”
And when it comes to snapping the perfect shot, she knows the lighting trick.
“Never in direct sunlight,” she says. “I’ve been schooling the BBC cameramen—we film in Greece, and I literally stand under trees now.”
Bikini Pics? Catch Them Early—Before the Cheese Sets In
When it comes to those flawless bikini shots, Amanda has a strategy: take them early in the holiday.
“I always get my bikini photos done right at the start,” she said.
“It’s before the bloating kicks in—timing is everything!”
And her husband, Chris, isn’t mad when she lets loose.
“I eat my body weight in cheese in Greece,” she laughed, “and it all goes to my boobs and bum. He’s like, ‘Yes!’”
The Surprising Truth Behind Her Ageless Look
Despite looking youthful, Amanda insists she’s not overly obsessed with beauty routines.
“I don’t give a toss as much anymore,” she admitted with a grin. “I upset beauty editors because I use wet wipes to take off my makeup.”
She added, “I love wine, I love an Aperol, and I never get enough sleep with my Heart Breakfast show.
But I do take Revive Collagen every day, and I’ve been doing that for five years now.”
As for her secret weapon? Confidence. “I’m happy in my skin, I feel good—and I really think it’s genetic. My mum looks amazing in her 70s.”
Face Over Waistline—Amanda’s Take on Weight Loss Trends
Weighing in on Hollywood’s obsession with weight-loss injections, Amanda had a cheeky take: “I’ll always choose my face over my waistline.
Or even my bum over my weight!”
She acknowledged that some celebs have visibly changed on the red carpet, and while she’s not opposed to using such treatments for health reasons, she’s cautious.
“It’s been helpful for a lot of people, but if you don’t need it, maybe don’t rush into it—we just don’t know the long-term effects yet.”
Revive Collagen, Postmen, and… Simon Cowell?
As a brand ambassador for Revive Collagen, Amanda swears by the product and even hands it out like candy.
“I’ve got boxes of it in my garage. As soon as the front door opens, I’m giving it to the postman!” she laughed.
“My mum’s on it, my mother-in-law, all my girlfriends.”
While her BGT pal Simon Cowell isn’t taking the collagen (yet), his partner Lauren Silverman is a fan.
“Lauren takes it and looks amazing. I think men think collagen isn’t for them—but it is! It’s great for your hair, nails, and skin.”
