While most footballers are gearing up for the new season, Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho made headlines on Monday — not for his game, but for a quick stop at the barbers.

The 21-year-old winger was seen at Pure Fades in Altrincham, greeting fans and snapping selfies before jumping into his car.

But behind the scenes, there’s a lot more going on in Garnacho’s world than just a new fade.

Spotted in Public for the First Time Since the Season Ended

This is the first time Garnacho’s been seen in public in England since the last Premier League season wrapped up.

He was dressed casually in a black Nike tee, Palm Angels shorts, and white sliders — looking relaxed but clearly aware of the cameras as he cheekily tried to hide his face before cracking a smile.

The Argentine has spent most of his summer holidays abroad, taking trips to Japan, Spain, and Portugal — a well-deserved break after a rollercoaster season.

Wants to Stay in the Premier League, But United Future Unclear

Despite all the speculation surrounding his future, Garnacho reportedly wants to stay in England.

He’s already turned down an offer from Saudi club Al-Nassr, showing he’s got eyes on staying in the Premier League.

Still, that doesn’t mean he’ll be staying at Manchester United. Club insiders say Garnacho is one of five players currently sidelined from pre-season training as they explore options elsewhere.

With new manager Ruben Amorim clearly not seeing him as a first-choice player, Garnacho might be packing his bags soon.

United Set a High Price Tag

Manchester United aren’t letting him go for cheap.

Back in January, Napoli offered £40 million for the young winger — an offer United rejected.

Now, the club is said to be holding out for more than £50 million, with no sign yet of who might meet that valuation.

Garnacho featured in 36 out of 38 league games last season, but many of those appearances were from the bench, especially in key moments.

Frustration Boiled Over After Europa League Final

One of the tipping points may have been United’s Europa League final defeat to Tottenham in May.

Garnacho only played 20 minutes in that match, and he didn’t hide his disappointment afterward.

“Up until the final I played every round helping the team,” he told reporters.

“And today I play 20 minutes? I don’t know.

The final will influence my decision… but so will the whole season.”

Family Adds Fuel to the Fire

Garnacho’s brother, Robert, didn’t hold back either.

In a since-deleted Instagram post, he blasted manager Ruben Amorim, writing:
“Working as no-one else, helping every round, coming from two goals in the last two finals, just to be on the pitch for 19 mins and get thrown under the bus.”

It’s clear the frustration runs deep — not just with Garnacho, but in his camp as well.

What’s Next for Garnacho?

With the transfer window closing on September 1, time is ticking for Garnacho to figure out his next move.

Whether he’ll find a new home in England or end up abroad remains to be seen — but one thing’s for sure: he’s not short of talent or attention.

Stay tuned.
