As Arsenal push forward with their mission to finally clinch the Premier League title, Mikel Arteta isn’t wasting time in the transfer market.
The Gunners are building momentum with another high-profile addition set to join the squad—this time, from a familiar London rival.
Madueke Set for Medical as Arsenal Close In
Chelsea winger Noni Madueke is expected to complete his £52 million transfer to Arsenal, with a medical scheduled for Monday.
The deal has been all but finalized between the two clubs, and personal terms are already in place for a five-year contract.
If all goes to plan, Madueke will become Arsenal’s fourth signing of the summer.
A Smooth Transition Between Rivals
Talks between Arsenal and Chelsea went off without a hitch, and there was no resistance on the player’s side either.
The 23-year-old England international even trained with Chelsea’s squad in New York just days ago, ahead of their Club World Cup final win over PSG.
He was a regular fixture in Chelsea’s line-up last season, playing key matches including their victorious Conference League final against Real Betis.
What Madueke Brings to the Gunners
Madueke is known for his flair and versatility. Although he’s naturally left-footed and prefers to play on the right—a role currently dominated by Bukayo Saka—he’s shown he can be just as effective on the left.
This flexibility will give Arteta more attacking options, especially when rotating with players like Gabriel Martinelli.
Chelsea Boss Confirms Exit Is Inevitable
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca didn’t try to stop the move and confirmed Madueke is set to leave.
“Noni is in contact with a new club,” he said. “If players want to leave, it’s difficult for the club and for the manager.
Noni decided to leave, and if he’s happy, we are happy.”
Arsenal’s Transfer Window Heats Up
Should everything go through smoothly, Madueke will be Arsenal’s second signing from Chelsea this summer.
Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga already made the switch in a £5 million deal.
The Gunners have also added Christian Norgaard from Brentford and Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad.
Gyokeres Also Nearing Arsenal Switch
Meanwhile, Arsenal are getting closer to sealing another big signing—Victor Gyokeres.
The Swedish striker is close to joining in a deal believed to be worth £55 million upfront, with £7.4 million in potential add-ons. He’s already agreed to a five-year contract.
Eberechi Eze Remains on the Radar
Arteta’s interest in strengthening the wings hasn’t stopped with Madueke.
Arsenal are still eyeing Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze.
The initial focus was on bringing in a left-sided winger, but with Madueke capable of playing both flanks, it opens the door for more tactical depth—and potentially both signings.
Arsenal’s Attack Gets a Serious Upgrade
With these moves, Arsenal are sending a clear message: they’re not here to come close again—they’re building a squad to win.
Adding firepower, versatility, and depth in attack could finally give Arteta the edge he’s been missing.
What’s Next?
If the deals go through without any surprises, Arsenal’s attack for the upcoming season will look much more dangerous.
The next big question: will Eze be next to walk through the Emirates doors?
