What was supposed to be a quiet day at one of London’s most exclusive baby boutiques turned into a disturbing scene when a man and woman were caught stealing baby clothes in broad daylight—right under the nose of the staff.

And this wasn’t just any store. It’s a spot famously frequented by the Princess of Wales, making the incident all the more shocking.

Caught on CCTV: Baby Clothes Stuffed Down Shorts

The theft happened at Blue Almonds, a high-end baby shop on Walton Street in South Kensington.

The boutique took to social media to post CCTV footage of the incident, hoping the public could help identify the thieves.

In the clip, a man dressed head-to-toe in black is seen crouching down, pretending to pick something up from the floor.

But instead of helping, he shoves three pieces of blue baby clothing down his shorts, sneaks a tiny hat into his pocket, and tucks another item into his clothing.

With surprising calm, he walks toward the exit, waves goodbye to the unsuspecting staff, and leaves the shop.

His Partner-in-Crime Casually Walks Out

Moments later, a woman dressed in a white summer dress and sliders follows him out the door.

She glances back once as she exits—almost like checking to see if they got away with it.

Together, the pair made off with several items, leaving staff stunned when they reviewed the security footage.

A Boutique Loved by Royals and Celebrities

This isn’t just your average baby store. Blue Almonds is a known favourite of Princess Catherine, who shopped there in 2013 with her mother Carole Middleton just weeks before Prince George was born.

The royal pair reportedly spent an hour browsing before buying a £295 white wicker Moses basket.

Other famous customers? Popstar Lily Allen is also said to have shopped at the boutique.

Shop Shares Footage and Calls for Help

Understandably shaken, the team at Blue Almonds decided to go public.

Posting the CCTV video to Instagram and Facebook, they asked the public to help spread the word and assist in identifying the suspects.

“Please share this footage,” they wrote. “It could help identify the individuals involved and increase the chances of them being caught.”

While the boutique said this sort of theft is rare for them, they admitted it’s been an upsetting experience.

A Warning to Other Local Businesses

In addition to appealing for help, Blue Almonds used the opportunity to warn fellow businesses in the area.

They urged others to stay alert and remain cautious.

“If you recognise anyone in the footage, contact the police with this crime reference number: 01/7719971/25,” they added.

“Or message us directly through Instagram, Facebook, or email — we’ll pass everything to the authorities.”
