Australian Racing Driver Faces Allegations of Raping Michael Schumacher’s Nurse at Family Estate in Gland, Switzerland

A serious criminal allegation has emerged from the home of Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher, involving an Australian racing driver and one of the former champion’s nurses.

Swiss prosecutors claim the incident took place following a cocktail party at the Schumacher family estate in Gland, Switzerland, on November 23, 2019.

Details of the Alleged Incident

According to prosecutors, the nurse, who is in her 30s, was sexually assaulted in an upstairs bedroom of the family mansion.

The Australian driver, described as a close friend of Schumacher’s son Mick, is accused of raping her twice while she was unconscious.

The woman had been part of the medical team caring for Michael Schumacher, who has remained out of the public eye since a skiing accident in 2013 left him with catastrophic brain injuries.

She was reportedly unwell after drinking vodka following a night shift and was unable to stand.

Colleagues carried her to a private staff room where she was put to bed without being undressed, prosecutors say.

Later, the accused, who was staying in a neighbouring room, allegedly returned and committed the assaults.

Legal Proceedings and Investigation

The nurse filed a criminal complaint against the Australian driver in January 2022.

He initially cooperated with authorities and traveled from Australia to Switzerland to be questioned, according to 24 Heures.

However, prosecutors have reportedly lost contact with him for months, raising concerns that the case may not move forward.

Swiss authorities emphasize that the Schumacher family were not involved in the case and are not listed in any official proceedings at the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the District of La Côte.

Background on Michael Schumacher and His Estate

Schumacher, a seven-time F1 world champion, suffered a catastrophic brain injury in a skiing accident in the French Alps in 2013.

He was subsequently relocated to the family’s private mansion on the shores of Lake Geneva in September 2014.

The estate, built to the family’s specifications in 2007, is secluded behind dense forestry and custom fencing, overlooking the Swiss Alps.

Schumacher’s Legendary Career

During a glittering 19-year career from 1991 to 2012, Schumacher raced for Ferrari, Mercedes, and Benetton, amassing 91 Grand Prix victories and seven world titles.

His career achievements also secured him a fortune of approximately £468 million, cementing his place as one of the greatest drivers in Formula 1 history.
