Harris Faulkner Earns Top Ranking as Female News Anchor on Daily Mail Power List While Reporting from New York Headquarters

Outside Harris Faulkner’s corner office at News Corporation in New York, a shiny silver plaque announces her accolades from the Professional Organization of Women of Excellence (POWER), proclaiming her a “Woman of Excellence.”

But a glance inside her office makes it clear: this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Six golden Emmy statues, framed awards, and certificates line the walls, a testament to a career spanning decades.

At 60, Faulkner has added another meaningful accolade to her collection: being named the top-ranking female host on the Daily Mail’s inaugural Power List.

She was the only woman—and the only Fox News anchor—to place in the top five among News Anchors and Political Pundits, outranking colleagues like Jesse Watters, Laura Ingraham, and Bret Baier, and placing fourth overall behind names such as Anderson Cooper, Jon Stewart, and David Muir.

Balancing Career Success with Motherhood

For Faulkner, the honor is deeply personal. As the mother of teenage daughters Bella, now in college, and Danika, still in high school, she values being a role model.

“It matters that my girls get to see this,” she told the Daily Mail. “So, thank you to your team and your readers. It’s just awesome.”

Her days are a whirlwind of morning shows, solo hosting on The Faulkner Focus, and regular appearances on Outnumbered, which she joined as a founding co-host in 2014.

Despite the relentless schedule, Faulkner attributes her connection with viewers to a thoughtful approach.

Connecting with Viewers Through Thoughtful Journalism

“I have a connection with the viewers because I’m thinking about them,” Faulkner explains.

“I try to honor the viewer with questions that go beneath the obvious.

We don’t need the obvious. We need more. Is there anything we’re missing?”

Her approach stems from her upbringing in a military family, where leadership and faith were central.

Her father, Bobby, a Lieutenant Colonel and Army Aviator, and her mother, Shirley, instilled in her the values of prayer, preparation, and responsibility—principles that continue to guide her both professionally and personally.

A Life Built on Discipline and Faith

Married for 27 years to media relations CEO Tony Berlin, Faulkner begins her days at 5am in a quiet home in New Jersey, reading emails and listening to music—currently Christian hip-hop—before heading into the city.

Her commute is a time for reflection and preparation, often including off-air conversations with interview subjects to offer reassurance and human connection.

Once in the studio, the pace is nonstop: editorial meetings, hair and makeup, and on-air preparation, alongside frequent engagement with her social media audience to stay in tune with what matters to viewers.

Reporting on National Tragedies and Personal Loss

Faulkner’s work often intersects with moments of national grief.

She recalls her reaction to the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, a personal friend.

Witnessing the tragic event in real time, she felt the gravity of reporting and supporting communities affected by such violence.

Living near Scottsdale, Arizona, Faulkner has stayed close to the Kirk family, expressing her support and emphasizing prayer and reflection as a means of coping with loss.

She highlights the importance of guiding young people toward forgiveness and choosing light over darkness, lessons she seeks to instill in her own daughters.

Carrying Forward a Legacy of Leadership

Her father’s teachings remain central to her worldview.

Having grown up moving between military bases across the U.S. and Germany, Faulkner learned resilience, prayer, and leadership firsthand.

“It’s not about who we are right now. It’s about the potential of who we will be if we do the things we’re called to do,” she reflects, citing the example set by her parents.

Faulkner’s mission is clear: to embody integrity, to be a trusted figure for her audience, and to demonstrate through action the values she espouses.

“I want my daughters to look at me and see I walk the walk,” she says.

Her inclusion on the Daily Mail Power List is more than recognition—it’s a reflection of a life lived with purpose, faith, and an unwavering commitment to journalism.
