Olive Garden Launches Limited Edition Pasta-Inspired Pool Floats for Summer Fans Across the United States

When you think of Olive Garden, your mind probably jumps straight to cheesy, saucy pasta plates or classic chicken and noodles.

But this summer, the Italian-American chain is mixing things up with a fun new twist — pool noodles you can actually lounge on.

Yes, you read that right. Olive Garden just launched a limited-edition summer merch collection featuring three playful pool floats inspired by their most popular pasta dishes.

It’s pasta meets pool party, and honestly, it’s pretty clever.

Meet the Floatin’ Fettuccine, Takin’ It Easy Tortelloni, and Relaxin’ Rigatoni

These aren’t your average pool floats. Olive Garden named them with some serious pasta personality: Floatin’ Fettuccine, Takin’ It Easy Tortelloni, and Relaxin’ Rigatoni.

Each one is designed to bring that familiar pasta vibe to your poolside chill.

The fettuccine float is flat and wide, perfect for sprawling out like a creamy chicken alfredo on your favorite entrée.

Meanwhile, the tortelloni and rigatoni floats are round, made for you to nestle right inside — like a delicious scoop of sauce or melted cheese hugging every bite.

How to Grab Your Own Pasta Pool Float and Fun Bonuses

Starting June 30 at 2 pm ET, these floats will be available on Olive Garden’s website for $40 each.

But if you’re a super fan, you can get early access starting June 26 at 10 am by signing up for their free eClub loyalty program.

And it gets better. Each float purchase includes shipping plus a cheeky “first course” bonus gift.

Customers get to pick from quirky extras like breadstick bucket hats, soup-inspired totes, or floating drink holders decorated with lettuce leaves. Because, why not?

Fans Are Already Loving the Idea Even Without Pools

Olive Garden’s social media is buzzing with excitement.

One fan confessed on Facebook that even though they don’t have a pool, the tortelloni float is something they absolutely need in their life. Who can blame them?

It’s part of a growing trend where food brands turn their iconic snacks into fun pool gear.

Pop-Tarts, Rice Krispies, Eggo waffles, and Cheez-It crackers have all jumped on this wave with floats shaped like their treats, available at big retailers like Target and Walmart for about $20.

Even Panera got in on the fun back in 2021 with swimwear inspired by their food lineup, including a bright green swimsuit simply branded with the word “SOUP.”

Olive Garden’s Journey and Challenges in the Restaurant World

Olive Garden started in Orlando, Florida, back in 1982 and quickly became a go-to spot for family dinners and hearty Italian-American fare.

For years, it dominated the U.S. restaurant industry, leading in revenue since 2018.

That streak was interrupted this April when Texas Roadhouse, fueled by a savvy social media push and budget-friendly menu, took over the top spot after seven years.

To fight back, Olive Garden’s parent company, Darden, has been rolling out new strategies — including last year’s big move to team up with DoorDash and UberEats for delivery services, something the chain had resisted for a long time.

While Olive Garden still holds strong as a profitable brand, some of Darden’s other restaurants haven’t been as lucky.

Bahama Breeze, for example, closed about a third of its locations in mid-May and is reportedly considering selling off the rest
