If you’re a startup founder in Central or Eastern Europe, now might be the perfect time to take a leap.
Movens Capital, a venture capital firm based in Warsaw, Poland, has just rolled out a fresh €60 million fund specifically aimed at helping early-stage startups grow.
This isn’t just another investment vehicle—it’s a strategic effort to support founders driving innovation across the region.
Backed by a Strong Network of Supporters
Movens Capital isn’t going at it alone.
The newly launched Fund 2 has attracted a powerful lineup of backers including the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), PFR Ventures, and more than 80 influential players from the startup world.
These supporters range from experienced tech operators to successful entrepreneurs and founders who’ve already made their mark in the industry.
Investing in the Future of Innovation
This second fund from Movens will provide investments ranging from €250,000 to €3 million per startup.
The goal is to support businesses from the very early stages—pre-seed and seed—up to Series A and even Series A+ rounds.
The main sectors in focus include enterprise software, healthcare, fintech, climate tech, education, and solutions shaping the future of work.
There’s also a keen interest in artificial intelligence projects that show the potential to stand out globally.
A Broad Regional Focus with Global Aspirations
Under the leadership of Managing Partner Artur Banach, Movens Capital plans to make around 30 investments through this fund. And their geographical reach is impressive.
Fund 2 will cover countries such as Poland, the Baltic states, the Balkans, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania.
Founders from Ukraine and Moldova are also part of the picture, along with diaspora entrepreneurs creating global solutions from a Central and Eastern European foundation.
Proven Success with Notable Startups
Movens Capital isn’t new to the startup scene.
Their portfolio already features several well-known names such as Alokai (formerly known as Vue Storefront), Talkie.ai, Certifier, and Doctor.one.
They’ve also seen successful exits with companies like Packhelp and Fenige.
These past wins are a strong indication of what might lie ahead for startups joining the Movens portfolio under Fund 2.
What’s on the Horizon?
With funding secured and the team ready to lead investment rounds, Movens Capital is setting the stage for a new wave of startup growth across Central and Eastern Europe.
For founders with a bold vision and solid execution, this could be the spark that sets their ventures on a global path.
