After years of making headlines with their whirlwind romance and luxury lifestyle, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez are finally tying the knot—and they’re doing it in style.
The billionaire founder of Amazon and his Emmy-winning fiancée are saying “I do” in Venice, Italy, and the entire celebration is shaping up to be a weekend-long spectacle of wealth, glam, and A-list flair.
The Wedding Weekend Will Span Three Lavish Events
According to sources in Italy, the actual wedding ceremony will take place on June 27 on the stunning island of San Giorgio, home to the historic Basilica of San Giorgio Maggiore.
The location is not just picturesque—it’s exclusive.
The entire island, managed by the Cini Foundation, will be closed off to the public for the occasion.
But that’s only part of the plan. The festivities will reportedly begin the day before with a gala at a private cloister on the iconic Lido, possibly at Chiostro della Madonna dell’Orto.
Then, after the big day, the celebrations wrap up with a final blowout party on June 28, possibly hosted at a Venetian palazzo or another historic church.
Guests Arrive in Style—and Stay in Five-Star Luxury
The guest list may be intimate with fewer than 200 people, but it’s far from low-key. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, and even members of the Trump family are rumored to be attending.
To get around Venice, guests will be riding in one of about 60 specially reserved water taxis—plus some private tenders—and even gondolas will be partially out of service during the wedding weekend.
Many of Venice’s priciest hotels, including The Aman and the iconic Hotel Cipriani (where rooms go for $2,000–$2,700 a night), are also booked for the occasion.
Sweet Touches and Luxe Details for the Big Weekend
Venice’s beloved bakery, Rosa Salva Venetia, is said to be supplying pastries for the weekend.
Think tiramisu, flaky cream-filled treats, and fritelli—classic Italian fried goodies.
But they’re not handling the wedding cake, so expect something even more extravagant for that centerpiece.
Guests may also walk away with lavish gifts, according to one wedding planner familiar with the event—describing them as “opulent” thank-yous for simply showing up.
Bezos Steps Back as Sánchez Takes the Lead on Planning
When it comes to the actual wedding prep, Jeff Bezos is more than happy to let his fiancée take the reins.
In a previous interview with Vogue, Bezos laughed off the idea of getting involved in the planning, joking, “Do I look that dumb?”
Lauren Sánchez, a former reporter, helicopter pilot, and Miss Junior America New Mexico, hasn’t said who is designing her dress—or possibly dresses—but she’s previously named Dior, Valentino, and Dolce & Gabbana as favorites.
A Romance That Took Off in 2018
Bezos and Sánchez first met back in 2016, but sparks didn’t fly until 2018 when her production company, Black Ops Aviation, began working with Bezos’ space firm, Blue Origin.
At the time, both were still married—Jeff to MacKenzie Scott and Lauren to top Hollywood agent Patrick Whitesell.
News of their relationship broke soon after, causing quite the stir in celebrity circles.
From Affair Rumors to Superyacht Proposals
After finalizing his divorce, Bezos proposed to Sánchez in 2023 aboard his $500 million superyacht, Koru.
The ring? A jaw-dropping diamond reportedly valued at between $3 and $5 million, with an estimated weight of up to 20 carats.
Since then, the couple have embraced the high life publicly—jetting off to five-star resorts, enjoying ocean escapes aboard Koru, and even dining out with celebs like Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson.
Wedding Prep Includes Gym Time and Shared Workouts
In preparation for the big day, Sánchez has been sharing her fitness journey on social media.
She and Bezos have been training together, although she jokes that he’s in a league of his own.
Her workout routines—posted online—include everything from Nordic hamstring curls to thrusters and step-overs.
Clearly, this couple is serious about showing up to their wedding in peak form, and every detail—from location to logistics—reflects the opulence they’ve become known for.
