Former Blink-182 album model Janine Lindemulder surprises fans with dramatic transformation and new life in Oregon decades after iconic nurse photo

If you were around for the late ’90s pop-punk explosion, you probably remember Blink-182’s legendary Enema of the State album.

But while the music made headlines, it was the cover image that really stuck in people’s minds — a sultry nurse with a latex glove, a teasing smile, and that unmistakable ‘90s aesthetic. That woman? Janine Lindemulder.

More than two decades later, she’s almost unrecognizable.

The Face That Defined an Era

In 1999, Janine Lindemulder posed for what would become one of the most iconic album covers in pop-punk history.

Wearing a revealing white nurse outfit with a red bra peeking out, blue latex glove pulled tight over one hand, and a flirty expression aimed straight at the camera, she became an instant icon for Blink-182 fans.

Her platinum-blonde hair was styled with playful highlights, a tiny nurse’s cap perched on top, and a blue butterfly tattoo added just the right amount of edge.

Even the back of the CD stuck with the theme—band members Travis Barker, Mark Hoppus, and Tom DeLonge appeared in nothing but boxers, standing in front of Janine.

A Title That Almost Wasn’t

Interestingly, Enema of the State wasn’t the album’s original title.

According to photographer David Goldman, it was initially going to be called Turn Around and Cough, which explains the cheeky medical concept behind the visuals.

Regardless of the name, the album was a massive success—selling over 15 million copies and producing unforgettable hits like “What’s My Age Again?”, “All The Small Things,” and “Adam’s Song.”

Janine even appeared in the “What’s My Age Again?” video, further cementing her place in Blink-182 history.

A Tumultuous Turn After Fame

But while the album’s success became a defining career moment for the adult film star, her personal life started to unravel not long after.

In 2002, she was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame—the same year she married Jesse James, founder of West Coast Choppers.

The couple had a daughter named Sunny but divorced just two years later in 2004.

Her troubles didn’t stop there. Janine was sentenced to six months in prison for failing to pay $300,000 in taxes.

When she was released, she found herself in a heated custody battle over Sunny with Jesse and his new wife at the time, actress Sandra Bullock.

Fighting for Her Family and Her Image

During the custody dispute, Jesse and Bullock accused Janine of drug use, claiming she was unfit to parent.

But Janine pushed back. In a 2009 interview with ABC News, she invited Sandra Bullock to her home, saying, “Sandy doesn’t know what goes on in my house.

I’d love for her to. Please come over, I’ll make dinner, let’s sit down as two women.”

Eventually, Sandra and Jesse’s relationship crumbled as well—they divorced in 2010 after his infidelity made headlines.

Janine later remarried briefly, tying the knot with a man named Jeremy in 2009 before splitting in 2010.

A Whole New Look and a Digital Comeback

Fast forward to today, and Janine is 56 with a completely new vibe.

She’s traded in her blonde locks for brunette hair and now sports a body full of tattoos.

These days, she keeps a presence on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), where she has about 89,000 followers. Her location is tagged as Oregon.

She also runs an OnlyFans account, charging around $10 a month for exclusive content.

Her profile bio proudly lists her credentials: “Penthouse Pet ’87, Vivid girl, AVN Hall of Fame, Blink-182 cover model, multiple award winner including Best G/G and B/G.”

Still Owning Her Past

While Janine may look different now, she continues to embrace her past—both the glamour and the chaos.

Whether you remember her from music videos, adult films, or tabloid headlines, there’s no denying she’s left a mark on pop culture.
