Senator John Fetterman urges the United States to launch military strikes against Iran while defending Israel from Washington D.C.

Senator John Fetterman urges the United States to launch military strikes against Iran while defending Israel from Washington D.C.

In a political climate where most Democrats are urging caution over foreign involvement, Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman is walking a very different path — and he’s doing it loudly and proudly.

During a Fox News interview on Tuesday, Fetterman didn’t hold back.

He made it clear that, in his view, the U.S. needs to stand shoulder to shoulder with Israel as tensions escalate with Iran. His message? Enough is enough.

Standing Firm with Israel

Fetterman went all in on his support for America’s closest ally in the Middle East.

Speaking passionately, he blamed Iran for enabling terrorism that has targeted Israel.

And he wasn’t vague about what he thinks the U.S. should do about it.

“You’ve got a nation that needs to be held accountable,” he said about Iran.

According to him, now is the time for action — not diplomacy.

Bunker Busters and Bold Plans

And here’s where things really took a turn.

Fetterman called for the U.S. to go big — like, military-strike big.

He even suggested using B-2 stealth bombers and massive 30,000-pound “bunker buster” bombs to take out Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.

“I’d just keep dropping them,” he said bluntly, “until you can actually confirm what exactly happened to them.”

This is no offhand remark. Fetterman believes a direct military strike is necessary to stop Iran from ever getting nuclear weapons — a move he says could be the only shot at real peace in the region.

A Lone Voice in His Party

Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer didn’t shy away from pointing out that Fetterman is very much alone in this line of thinking among his Democratic colleagues.

“You’re the only Democrat saying this,” Hemmer noted.

And it’s true. While Fetterman is calling for bunker busters, many Democrats are urging restraint — or outright blaming Israel for starting the war in the first place.

Bernie Sanders Slams Netanyahu and Warns Against U.S. Involvement

Just a day before Fetterman’s remarks, Independent Senator Bernie Sanders (who caucuses with the Democrats) took a completely different tone.

On X (formerly Twitter), Sanders accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of deliberately starting the war by assassinating Ali Shamkhani — Iran’s top nuclear negotiator — an act Sanders believes derailed peace talks.

“The U.S. must not be dragged into another illegal Netanyahu war — either militarily or financially,” Sanders wrote.

Fetterman Has Long Championed Israel, Even When It’s Unpopular

This isn’t a new stance for Fetterman. He’s been one of the loudest and most consistent pro-Israel voices in the Senate, even when it’s earned him backlash from progressives in his own party.

Many Democrats have criticized Israel’s military actions in Gaza and shown greater sympathy for Palestinian civilians caught in the crossfire.

Fetterman, however, has refused to back down from his unflinching support.

Trump and Netanyahu Weigh In on U.S.-Israel Relations

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump also voiced his continued support for Israel while speaking to reporters ahead of the G7 Summit in Alberta, Canada.

“We’ve always supported Israel,” Trump said. He added that “Israel is doing very well right now,” referencing its aggressive stance against Iran.

In a separate interview, Netanyahu told Fox News that Iranian intelligence had been behind two attempts to assassinate Trump in 2024 — something he claims is backed by Israeli intel.

Assassination Plots and Iran’s Grudge Against Trump

Netanyahu claimed Iran views Trump as “enemy number one” and has been targeting him through proxies.

While he didn’t specify which incidents he meant, there were known threats against Trump in both Pennsylvania and Florida last year.

In fact, the Daily Mail previously reported that Trump has been on Iran’s radar ever since he ordered the killing of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani back in 2020.

During his 2024 campaign, Trump openly talked about the threats from Tehran and even requested additional security and military protection.

He didn’t mince words either — in September 2024, he warned that if Iran made a move while he was president, he would “blow them to smithereens.”

What’s Next in the Iran-Israel Tensions?

As the international community watches closely, tensions in the Middle East continue to rise.

Fetterman is calling for bold and decisive action. His Democratic colleagues? Not so much.

Whether the U.S. will take a more aggressive stance, or stick to its cautious diplomacy, remains to be seen.

But one thing’s certain: Senator Fetterman has made it clear he won’t be whispering in the background — he’ll be shouting from the front lines.
