The EY SDG Accelerator for Women Entrepreneurs is on a mission to back women-led startups using artificial intelligence to make a real difference.
This program is all about supporting ventures that align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on big issues like climate change, improving people’s livelihoods, and strengthening communities — especially in regions across Africa, Latin America, and South and Southeast Asia.
What the Program Looks For in Applicants
Over six months, EY will select and support five AI-powered social impact businesses led by women.
These companies need to be using AI responsibly to tackle some of the world’s toughest challenges — whether that’s fighting food insecurity, reducing inequality, or helping communities adapt to environmental changes.
Here’s what you need to qualify:
-
Tech for Good: Your venture must use AI or machine learning for social impact and commit to responsible AI practices.
-
Female Founder: You should be a female founder, co-founder, or owner, serving as the main decision-maker (like CEO or Managing Director) with significant ownership.
-
Social Enterprise: Your business can be for-profit, nonprofit, a hybrid, or even a cooperative — as long as it’s driving social impact.
-
Location: The business has to be operating in Africa, Latin America, South Asia, or Southeast Asia.
-
Legal Status and Operations: Your company must be legally incorporated and running for at least a year.
-
Growth Ambition: You’re aiming to scale both your revenue and your social impact.
-
English Proficiency: Since it’s a global program, you need to be comfortable working in English.

If you’re selected, you’ll benefit from a rich mix of support designed to help your venture thrive and amplify its impact:

A dedicated EY business coach who will work closely with you.
