Jeffrey Epstein’s Brother Challenges FBI Director Kash Patel’s Claim of Suicide in New York Metropolitan Correctional Center

Jeffrey Epstein’s Brother Challenges FBI Director Kash Patel’s Claim of Suicide in New York Metropolitan Correctional Center

The mystery surrounding Jeffrey Epstein’s controversial death continues to stir public outrage—and now his own family is firing back.

Mark Epstein, the late financier’s younger brother, is calling out former Trump FBI official Kash Patel for insisting that Epstein took his own life.

And he’s not holding back.

Patel made his remarks during a recent Fox News interview, where he dismissed ongoing speculation that Epstein was murdered.

But for Mark Epstein, those claims feel like a cover-up—and he says the facts just don’t add up.

“He Wasn’t There, He Didn’t See the Body”: Brother Rejects Suicide Narrative

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Mark Epstein didn’t mince words.

He outright slammed Patel’s assertion, saying, “He wasn’t there, he didn’t see the body, he didn’t see the autopsy.

He has no idea what the f** he’s talking about.”*

Mark says he wishes it was as simple as suicide—it would make things easier emotionally.

But based on his own research and analysis, he strongly believes something more sinister happened.

Patel and Bongino Double Down on Suicide Theory During Fox Interview

The controversy reignited after Kash Patel and former FBI deputy director Dan Bongino appeared on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo.

During the segment, Bartiromo pressed Patel about the persistent public disbelief over Epstein’s death in 2019 at New York’s Metropolitan Correctional Center.

“You said Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide,” she said. “People don’t believe it.”

Patel stood firm, citing his experience as a public defender and prosecutor, claiming he’s seen enough jail deaths to know one when he sees one.

“He killed himself,” Bongino chimed in, adding, “I’ve seen the whole file.”

Bongino even took to X (formerly Twitter) afterward, doubling down: “There’s no evidence in the case file suggesting otherwise.”

Mark Epstein Disagrees—and Says He Has the Tests to Prove It

Mark Epstein, however, isn’t buying it. He says he conducted his own testing with a prison-style bedsheet like the one allegedly used in his brother’s death.

According to Mark, there’s no way the sheet could have held Epstein’s weight.

“It would’ve torn,” he said, pointing to this as one of several red flags that don’t sit right.

Security Camera Failures and “Cover-Up” Claims Stir More Doubts

Mark also highlighted a series of security failures on the night of Epstein’s death.

Two surveillance cameras outside Epstein’s cell reportedly weren’t working.

Despite that, former Attorney General Bill Barr claimed to have reviewed footage confirming no one entered or left the tier where Epstein was housed.

Mark’s response? “This is a cover-up.”

He noted that the prison had multiple security levels and several inmates on the tier.

If one of them had wanted to harm Epstein, Mark suggests, they wouldn’t have needed to leave or enter the tier—they were already there.

Strange Details About the Death Certificate and Autopsy Photos

Mark also questioned how quickly the ruling of suicide was made.

Initially, the death certificate said “pending further study,” but the official cause of death was later changed in just days.

“Any pathologist will tell you it takes weeks,” he said. “What study was done that fast to make that conclusion?”

He also found inconsistencies in autopsy photos. Epstein appeared clean-shaven, despite shaves happening on Fridays—yet his body was found Saturday morning.

According to Mark, Epstein would’ve had visible stubble had he died just two hours earlier, as officially stated.

Lividity Patterns Raise Even More Questions

One of the most disturbing details Mark shared was about lividity—the way blood pools in the body after death.

In Epstein’s case, he says it was found only in his upper back, not in his legs or buttocks.

“That’s startling,” Mark said. “That blood would not have traveled up into his back unless he died lying on it, not hanging.”

A Chilling Quote From Epstein Suggests He Knew Too Much

Mark hinted that his brother may have been killed not for what he did, but for what he knew.

During the 2016 election, Mark says Epstein once told him, “If I said what I knew about both candidates, they’d have to cancel the election.”

Mark never learned exactly what that meant—but he now suspects it could have been a motive for silencing his brother permanently.

Trump’s Promise to Reveal the Truth Has Yet to Deliver Major Bombshells

Even former President Trump has shared doubts about Epstein’s death.

After taking office, he pledged to release classified documents related to Epstein and signed an executive order for their disclosure.

In February, Attorney General Pam Bondi released what was dubbed “phase one” of those documents.

While they did include some flight logs and Epstein’s infamous contact book, there were no major revelations. Much of the information had already circulated.

The Contact Book Names Famous Elites—but Offers No Proof of Crimes

The released files showed a contact list packed with celebrities and power players—names like Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson, Alec Baldwin, Naomi Campbell, and Courtney Love.

Also listed were Bob and Harvey Weinstein, the late Senator Ted Kennedy, Ralph Fiennes, and Alan Dershowitz.

Even Trump’s late wife Ivana and their daughter Ivanka appeared in the book.

Notably, the president himself was not listed, and there’s no direct suggestion that anyone in the contact list was involved in Epstein’s crimes.

What Comes Next in the Epstein Case?

Despite multiple official statements, the Epstein saga is far from over.

With continued skepticism from his own family, countless unanswered questions, and only partial document releases, public distrust remains high.

Whether future document releases will shed more light—or deepen the mystery—is still anyone’s guess.

But one thing’s certain: Mark Epstein isn’t done fighting for answers.
