If you’re part of a local NGO in Nigeria working hard to create positive change, there’s an exciting opportunity that could boost your organization’s impact and sustainability.
The NGO Support Initiative (NSI) Grant is designed to empower grassroots groups like yours, helping you sharpen your skills and secure funding to scale up your projects.
Who’s Behind the NSI Grant and What It’s About
This grant program is led by the Development Research and Projects Centre (dRPC), Nigeria’s top non-profit with over three decades of experience supporting local civil society organizations.
For 32 years, dRPC has been building the capacity of NGOs focused on gender equality, social justice, and inclusion—especially in development and humanitarian efforts.
With generous backing from the Ford Foundation’s West Africa office, dRPC is rolling out the NSI Grant to help NGOs grow stronger, more resilient, and better connected to funding sources.
What You’ll Need to Do If You’re Successful
If your NGO wins the grant, you’ll join a 4-part virtual training series covering essential topics like project management, advocacy based on solid evidence, financial accountability, and strategies for social behavior change communication.
This training aims to equip you with the tools to manage your projects effectively and create meaningful change.
And here’s the best part: NGOs that excel during this process will be put forward to social impact investors who can provide further funding and support to help your work reach new heights.
Who Can Apply: The Eligibility Criteria
Here are the basics you need to know to see if your NGO qualifies:
