After years of near-misses and personal achievements, Harry Kane has finally clinched his first major trophy, marking a monumental moment in his career.
The England captain, who joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham for £95 million last year, celebrated his first-ever major club title after Bayern Munich secured the Bundesliga championship.
This came after Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-2 draw with SC Freiburg, ensuring Bayern’s dominance in the league.
A Night of Celebrations and Reflections
Kane, still bleary-eyed from the night’s revelry, shared his joy and gratitude as he reflected on the celebrations.
The moment felt extra special, as the forward, along with his teammates, gathered to sing Queen’s iconic anthem “We Are the Champions.”
Among the group was former Tottenham teammate Eric Dier, and the festivities continued with cigars and champagne.
In fact, the team had a grand time, smoking cigars with Joshua Kimmich as they marked the triumph.
Days later, Kane got his hands on the prestigious Meisterschale – the champions’ bowl – after Bayern defeated Borussia Monchengladbach 2-0.
The elated star celebrated with his teammates, kissing the trophy and raising it high in front of roaring fans.
Notably, Kane played a key role in the match, scoring one of the goals alongside Michael Olise.
A Long-Awaited Moment
Having spent nearly two decades at Tottenham, Kane’s career had been marked by individual honors, including three Golden Boots, but he had never lifted a club trophy.
Despite consistently battling for top titles like the Premier League and Champions League, the elusive silverware was always just out of reach.
Last season, Kane joined Bayern with hopes of securing a trophy, but the team fell short of winning the Bundesliga, leaving him empty-handed.
However, with the 2023-24 season now behind him, Kane can finally put an end to the drought.
The long wait for a major title is over, and Kane is now focused on what’s ahead, including the World Cup next year with England.
Bayern Munich’s Celebrations Continue
Meanwhile, the Bayern squad kept the celebrations going at the Kafer restaurant in Munich’s Bogenhausen district.
Known for its gourmet offerings, the team enjoyed champagne, wine, and cigars as part of their festivities.
Although goalkeeper Manuel Neuer wasn’t initially spotted in the group celebrations, he later shared a light-hearted photo of himself making asparagus risotto in his kitchen, jokingly labeling it his “Celebration of champions.”
Kane’s Reflection on the Victory
In a heartfelt post on social media, Kane reflected on the joyous occasion.
He expressed appreciation for the hard work and dedication that went into the season and how sweet it felt to finally win the title.
“What a night last night, what a celebration with the players, with the staff,” Kane wrote.
“I’m sure everyone’s feeling it a little bit this morning but we’re here, and I feel amazing.”
Looking ahead, Kane couldn’t wait to celebrate with the Bayern fans at the Allianz Stadium on Saturday.
The forward remained focused on the future, eager to push for more titles.
“We go again and try and get number two,” he added optimistically.
The Aftermath of the Celebration
Kane and his wife, Kate, reportedly left the celebrations at 1:34 am, after spending a good eight hours celebrating with the squad.
The sheer joy and relief of finally securing that elusive major title made the celebration one to remember for years to come.
