As the world ramps up efforts toward sustainable energy, there’s exciting news if you’re in Brazil, South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, Kenya, Nigeria, Ethiopia, or Tanzania.
A global initiative is now opening doors for innovative projects that combine digital technology and energy solutions—with funding support to back it up.
This next phase of the Digital Demand-Driven Electricity Networks (3DEN) Initiative, led by the International Energy Agency (IEA), is now live.
Backed by the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), this effort is all about smarter, cleaner energy systems.
And yes, your project could be one of the pilots.
What’s This All About?
The 3DEN Initiative has entered its second phase following the momentum built at COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The focus?
Accelerating clean energy solutions through digital innovations that make power systems more flexible and resilient.
This new phase is calling for pilot projects in eight countries across Latin America and Africa.
It’s part of Italy’s broader push under the “Piano Mattei” and “Rome Process” to strengthen collaboration with African nations in achieving sustainable development and energy transition.
