Dunkin’ introduces new summer-inspired drinks and snacks as fans across the U.S. react with mixed reviews online

With summer right around the corner, Dunkin’ is shaking things up again—but not everyone’s thrilled about it.

While some customers are excited to try the new flavors, others are questioning the choices, especially when it comes to the lack of fresh coffee options and the naming of one particular donut.

A Sip of Summer: New Drinks and a Sweet Treat Arrive

Kicking off the seasonal lineup, Dunkin’ is rolling out three new menu items on May 3rd: the Tropical Guava Dunkin’ Refresher, the Pistachio Signature Latte, and a new Iced Strawberry Lemon Loaf.

These are aimed at giving fans a taste of summer vibes with fruity flavors and bold combinations.

The pistachio latte, in particular, has caught the eye of fans on social media.

It’s a creamy blend of espresso and pistachio-flavored swirl, topped with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and crunchy waffle cone bits.

The best part?

You can order it hot or iced—your choice.

As for the Tropical Guava Refresher, it’s available in green tea, lemonade, or sparkling water form, and comes packed with B vitamins.

And if you’re curious about the price, medium sizes will be available for just $3 all day, every day starting tomorrow.

Fans Weigh In—and Not Everyone’s Loving It

While some folks are lining up to try the new pistachio latte, others are not impressed.

A few Instagram users voiced their disappointment that Dunkin’ didn’t introduce any fresh coffee flavors this time around.

One user commented, “This is so lame honestly.

No new exciting coffee flavors,” while another said, “Now I can’t even eat my favorite rainbow sprinkle donut because they had to name it ‘Pride’ seriously.”

That donut, the Pride Donut, is one of several upcoming limited-time items teased earlier by food blogger Markie Devo.

Other items he mentioned include an Orange N’ Vanilla Classic Donut and a Summer Munchkin Bucket—but those haven’t sparked quite the same level of online chatter.

New Deals to Sweeten the Month of May

Aside from the fresh additions to the menu, Dunkin’ is also launching some wallet-friendly deals and member rewards throughout May.

One highlight is the $6 Meal Deal, which gets you a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, a side of hash browns, and a medium hot or iced coffee.

To promote it, Dunkin’ even dropped a new commercial starring James Marsden, Charles Melton, and other familiar faces.

Dunkin’ Rewards members are in for extra treats too:

  • $2 for a 10-count of Munchkins from May 3–15

  • Bonus points for buying half or full dozens of donuts and Munchkins on Mother’s Day weekend, May 10–11

  • $3 Pretzel Sliders with any drink purchase from May 16–31

  • And 100 bonus points every Monday in May when placing a mobile order through the app

No More Extra Charges for Going Dairy-Free

In a move that’s been a long time coming, Dunkin’ has finally dropped the surcharge for dairy alternatives.

That means you can now swap out regular milk for oat, almond, or coconut without paying extra.

Fans welcomed the change, with many saying it was about time—especially since Starbucks made the same shift last year.

What’s Next for Dunkin’?

While the new lineup and deals have sparked both excitement and criticism, it’s clear Dunkin’ is aiming to freshen up its summer offerings and keep customers coming back.

Whether you’re sipping on a pistachio latte or stocking up on discounted Munchkins, there’s a little something for everyone—well, almost everyone.
