With all eyes still locked on Blake Lively’s messy legal feud over It Ends With Us, an old video of Jennifer Garner has suddenly reemerged—and fans think it might not be as innocent as it seems.
A Lighthearted Video… Or a Subtle Dig?
Last summer, Garner, 53, posted a playful video on Instagram from the set of Deadpool & Wolverine.
In the clip, she’s giving fans a behind-the-scenes tour when she jokingly refers to a statue of a witch as none other than Blake Lively.
“This is where I go to commune with Blake Lively,” Garner quips before panning the camera toward a stone effigy. “How you doing, Blake? You lookin’ good!”
At first glance, it seemed like harmless fun. But fans on Reddit and TikTok started wondering if it was actually a thinly veiled jab.
The statue in question? It’s actually Marvel’s Scarlet Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen in the Doctor Strange sequel.
No Known Drama—But the Timing’s Raising Eyebrows
What makes this even more intriguing is that Garner’s video popped up just as Blake’s legal battle with her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni heated up.
Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and claimed he led a smear campaign against her—accusations he’s denied while filing a $400 million defamation lawsuit in response.
Though Garner isn’t involved in that situation at all, some fans are convinced she was throwing subtle shade, especially considering her connection to Ryan Reynolds—Blake’s husband and Garner’s Deadpool & Wolverine co-star.

Interestingly, there’s no real history of tension between Garner and Lively.
In fact, Lively starred opposite Garner’s ex-husband, Ben Affleck, in the 2010 film The Town while he and Garner were still married.
It’s also worth noting that Lively’s role in Deadpool & Wolverine was purely voiceover work, so it’s unclear if the two actresses even crossed paths during production.
Garner skipped the film’s New York premiere, which Lively did attend with Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

As if one resurfaced clip wasn’t enough, fans also dug up a 2011 moment where Reese Witherspoon appeared to take a swipe at Lively during the MTV Movie Awards—right after Lively’s alleged nude photos leaked online.
Without naming names, Witherspoon made a speech about how, in her day, celebrities hid their sex tapes and nudes—unlike some “bad girls” of Hollywood at the time.
The internet quickly speculated that she was referring to both Lively and Kim Kardashian.
A rep for Witherspoon later denied she was targeting anyone specifically, but that hasn’t stopped fans from stirring up old feud rumors between her and Lively.

Media personality Megyn Kelly also weighed in recently, slamming Lively’s appearance at the Time100 Gala as “a ridiculous joke.”
Kelly accused her of launching a “fake Me Too allegation” against Baldoni, claiming Lively tried to “ruin a man over nothing” and was now being rewarded for it.

Despite the ongoing controversy, Lively is charging ahead with her career.
She’s returning to TV screens this Thursday on Late Night with Seth Meyers, marking her first talk show appearance since going public with her allegations in December 2024.
