Melanie Blatt surprises London locals as she trades pop stardom for gourmet burger cooking at Stoke Newington pub

Most people know Melanie Blatt as one-fourth of the ’90s pop powerhouse All Saints.

But now, the chart-topping singer is serving up something a little different—and a lot more delicious—at a cozy North London pub.

That’s right, Melanie has swapped microphones for meat patties and is now officially cooking up gourmet burgers at The Londesborough in Stoke Newington.

A New Chapter at The Londesborough

At 50, Melanie has taken a bold new step, diving head-first into the culinary world.

She’s launched her food venture called FullFillings, which she showcases during her Tuesday kitchen residency at The Londesborough—a local spot that’s now welcoming celebrity chefs for a rotating pop-up-style experience.

This isn’t a one-time gig, either. Melanie recently hopped on Instagram to share some big news with her followers.

“Alright guys, I’m looking shocking today, extra shocking!” she laughed, in true down-to-earth fashion.

“But this is my shameless plug—come and eat my burgers tomorrow! Come on, I know you want to.”

Then she dropped the exciting update: she’s not just cooking on Tuesdays anymore.

She’ll also be serving up her dishes again this Friday, giving fans another chance to catch her in action.

A Soft Launch With a Surprise

Melanie quietly kicked off her first chef’s night earlier this month.

The launch was intentionally low-key—her name wasn’t even on the menu.

The only heads-up came from her own Instagram post, leaving many diners completely unaware that a ’90s pop icon was working the line in the kitchen.

One customer, after devouring a beef burger, was stunned to learn it had been made by Melanie Blatt herself.

Apparently in disbelief, they had to walk over and peer into the kitchen to see if it was really her.

Burgers With a Gourmet Twist

Melanie’s take on the classic burger brings a MasterChef-level flair to pub food.

Her signature beef burger swaps the usual seared mince for slow-cooked beef molded into a juicy patty.

Served in a brioche bun, it’s topped with manchego cheese and pickled red onions, with crispy fries and a rich gravy dip on the side—yours for £20.

Not into beef? She’s also offering a chicken version spiced with jerk seasoning for £19, plus a cheeky macaroni cheese burger for those craving comfort food with a twist.

Early feedback suggests the menu is a hit with locals.

Friends and Fans Show Support

A few of Melanie’s longtime friends even traveled in from Hertfordshire to support her on launch night.

“She’s been so hyped about this,” one pal told MailOnline. “She’s been practising for days and is taking it so seriously.

There’s a big difference between cooking at home and running a kitchen solo on a busy night, but she’s determined to get it right.”

Despite being busy on the job, Melanie did manage to pause for a quick photo—and confirmed she was loving every minute. “I’m enjoying it,” she said, “but I haven’t got time to chat!”

A Journey From Pop to Pans

Of course, Melanie’s culinary talents aren’t totally out of the blue.

She flexed her cooking chops on Celebrity MasterChef in 2022, showing a clear passion for food that she’s now bringing to a professional kitchen.

After All Saints disbanded in 2001, Melanie dipped into solo music, dabbled in reality TV, and even worked as a judge on an international version of The X Factor.

But it seems she’s now found a new creative outlet—one that’s a little less glamorous, but just as fulfilling.

So, if you find yourself in Stoke Newington on a Tuesday (or now Friday), pop into The Londesborough.

You might just get a taste of pop history—served with fries.
