The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has long been at the forefront of turning innovative ideas into successful businesses.

This year, their flagship pre-accelerator program has expanded its reach, offering targeted support to innovators from not only the EU but also the Western Balkans, EU Outermost Regions, and the Mediterranean.

A Boost for Innovators With Financial and Resource Support

The program offers a significant €150K in funding, alongside tailored resources to help participants refine and scale their business ideas.

Innovators from these regions will benefit from exclusive access to a network designed to turn their concepts into market-ready solutions.

To participate, submissions must be made by April 2, 2025, through eitjumpstarter.eu.

A Track Record of Success and Impact

Over the past eight editions, the EIT pre-accelerator has successfully upskilled over 1,300 individuals in entrepreneurship, helping to establish 124 start-ups and creating an impressive 2,600 new jobs.

These results highlight the program’s effectiveness in nurturing young talent and fostering the growth of businesses that have the potential to impact economies across the continent.

Expanding Opportunities for the Mediterranean and EU Outermost Regions

This year, the program places a special emphasis on innovators from regions like Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Reunion, Martinique, Mayotte, and Saint-Martin in France, as well as the Azores and Madeira in Portugal, and the Canary Islands in Spain.

These areas will have the chance to compete for additional awards if they succeed.

Extending a Call for Innovators from the Western Balkans

Not only are regions like the Mediterranean and EU Outermost Regions highlighted, but innovators from the Western Balkans, including North Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, are also strongly encouraged to apply.

There will be specific opportunities aimed at empowering talented individuals from these regions, ensuring a diverse pool of entrepreneurs.

The program continues to grow, providing a launchpad for emerging businesses that can shape the future of the European and global markets.
