Mother Threatens Rival Over Shared Relationship in Stoke-on-Trent and Is Fined After Harassing Her with Violent Messages

A 24-year-old mother, Paris Frost, has been fined after making terrifying threats towards another woman, with whom she had a complex relationship involving the same man.

Frost’s actions left her victim feeling deeply frightened and unsafe, as she threatened to break her legs, burn her house down, and never leave her alone.

The case, heard at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court, revealed that Frost’s behavior was part of a wider, toxic feud between the two women, who had both had children with the same man.

The Disturbing Threats and Fearful Victim

According to prosecutor David Bennett, Frost made a series of aggressive and threatening messages towards the victim, which escalated over time.

The threats began in March 2022 when the victim received a chilling message telling her to “watch her house.”

In June of that year, Frost made further threats over the phone, saying she would burn down the victim’s home and claiming she would “never leave you alone.”

The victim, in an attempt to stop the harassment, told Frost to leave her alone, but the threats continued.

As the harassment intensified, the victim moved to her mother’s house for safety.

Frost’s abusive behavior didn’t stop there, with more menacing messages sent, including one on Facebook warning, “Sleep with one eye open.”

The situation became even more disturbing when the victim received a message threatening to break her legs, followed by another that claimed the victim’s partner would have his legs broken soon, too.

The Lasting Impact on the Victim

The victim was left feeling terrified, even to leave her home.

She revealed in a victim impact statement that she felt constantly watched and unsafe in her own environment.

The harassment was so severe that she eventually had to relocate to the other side of the city to escape Frost’s constant threats and harassment.

Legal Consequences for Paris Frost

After pleading guilty to stalking causing serious alarm or distress, Frost was sentenced to a 12-month community order, which includes 25 days of rehabilitation activities.

In addition, she was issued a restraining order, preventing her from contacting the victim or approaching her home for five years.

The court also imposed a fine of £500, with the threat of 14 days in prison if she fails to pay.

Frost’s lawyer, Barry White, pointed out that there had been no further incidents since October 2022, and that Frost was remorseful for her actions.

However, Judge Trevor Meegan described stalking as an “ugly and unpleasant offence,” noting how Frost’s abusive messages, both on Facebook and over the phone, caused significant distress to the victim.
