Reality star Mpumi Mophatlane, popularly known as Mrs Mops, has made a surprising announcement in the third season premiere of The Mommy Club.
In an emotional confession, she revealed that she would be taking a step back from the series.
Although she’s no longer a full-time cast member, Mrs Mops emphasized that this isn’t goodbye but rather a temporary departure.
She shared with the other cast members that she would be returning as a “friend” of the show this season.
New Faces on The Mommy Club
With Mrs Mops stepping back, the third season of The Mommy Club welcomes four new moms to the cast.
Fans of the show will get to know these fresh faces as they join the established crew, bringing new dynamics and energy to the beloved reality series.
Auction Drama Surrounding Mrs Mops’ Mansion
In other news, Mrs Mops and her husband, Isaac Mophatlane, have faced some financial struggles, particularly regarding their luxurious mansion.
Reports from Sunday World have revealed that their home was put up for auction in September 2023, with a R5.8 million offer made.
However, it was reportedly reclaimed before it could be sold.
Interestingly, during the second season of The Mommy Club, Mrs Mops was seen filming at various restaurants and other locations rather than her mansion.
This sparked rumors, and IOL later reported that the mansion was once again facing the auction block.
This time, the auction is scheduled for March 5, 2025, with a substantial registration fee of R50,000 for prospective buyers.
Debt Behind the Auction
According to sources, the Mophatlane family owes around R9 million, which includes the debts owed to Nedbank Limited, the creditor.
This situation has left many wondering about the future of their once-thriving estate.
