Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have reportedly left Romania early this morning.
According to sources in Bucharest, the two men were seen departing from Baneasa airport around 5 AM local time (3 AM UK time), traveling on a private jet.
The brothers are believed to be heading to Florida, USA.
Pressure from Trump Administration Leads to Lifted Travel Restrictions
This move follows a significant development earlier this month when officials from the Trump administration pressured Romanian authorities to lift travel restrictions on the Tate brothers.
The Tates, who face serious criminal charges in Romania, had previously been restricted from leaving the country due to ongoing investigations.
Andrew and Tristan, both US and UK nationals, were arrested in 2022 on multiple charges, including human trafficking, sexual misconduct, money laundering, and forming an organized crime group.
They have vehemently denied all allegations against them.
Trump’s Special Envoy Plays Role in Travel Restrictions Lift
Sources revealed that U.S. officials raised concerns with Romanian authorities in early February, asking them to return the brothers’ passports and allow them to travel while awaiting the outcome of their legal proceedings.
This was followed by a meeting between Trump’s special envoy, Richard Grenell, and Romania’s foreign minister.
According to reports, Grenell asserted his support for the Tates, despite denying any substantive conversations with the Romanian officials.
The Tates had been under strict supervision since their arrest, including three months in police detention, house arrest, and a subsequent travel ban.
Victims of Andrew Tate Express Distress Over Government Interference
The news of U.S. interference has shocked and distressed the alleged victims of Andrew Tate, with one lawyer, Matthew Jury, representing four of the victims, speaking out.
Jury described the victims as “absolutely distraught” upon hearing that the U.S. government had pushed for the travel restrictions to be lifted.
He emphasized how traumatic this situation is for women who claim to be victims of serious crimes and expressed bewilderment at why the Trump administration would support the Tates.
Legal Team Continues to Pursue Innocence in Romanian Court System
Despite the changes in their travel situation, the Tate brothers have maintained that they are focused on clearing their names.
In a written statement, they pledged to work with their legal team to ensure that the Romanian judicial system follows due process, and they remain dedicated to proving their innocence in court.
The brothers are also facing additional charges, including allegations of rape and human trafficking in the UK, and a Romanian court has ruled that they could be extradited to Britain once Romania’s legal proceedings are finalized.
