Bristol Palin Shares Struggles with Ongoing Facial Paralysis as She Reaches Day 35 of Her Health Battle

Bristol Palin is still grappling with the effects of facial paralysis, and 35 days into her health battle, she remains uncertain about what the future holds.

The 34-year-old shared an emotional update with her Instagram followers on Monday, revealing the challenges she’s been facing since the paralysis began.

A Long Road to Recovery

In an Instagram story, Bristol opened up about how little progress she’s made despite trying various treatments.

“If I just keep my mouth shut, it’s not as noticeable,” she explained in the video.

“We are on day 35, officially five weeks since the left side of my face went paralyzed.

I still have no muscle movement on the left side, and I don’t feel much.”

Despite her efforts, Bristol admitted that she’s uncertain what else she can do.

“I’ve done everything imaginable to resolve this, and nothing has helped so far,” she said.

“I’m not sure what the future holds, but I wanted to give everyone this update.”

Exploring Treatment Options

Bristol has been pursuing various treatments to address her condition, including acupuncture.

She shared a selfie from one of her acupuncture sessions, showing needles across her face.

“I’ve been going four times a week,” she wrote, showing her commitment to finding relief.

Back in January, Bristol mentioned that doctors suspected she might have Bell’s palsy, a condition that causes temporary paralysis or weakness of the facial muscles.

She recalled the moment her symptoms began, describing how she woke up one morning with a strange sensation on her face, her mouth pulling to one side.

“Within a couple of hours, the entire left side of my face was numb and paralyzed,” she said.

Bell’s Palsy: A Common Condition

Bristol isn’t alone in facing this health challenge.

Other public figures, such as George Clooney, Angelina Jolie, and Jim Ross, have also been diagnosed with Bell’s palsy, a condition that affects the facial nerves and often resolves on its own with time.

A Family Focused on Healing

Bristol, the daughter of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, is a mother to three children: son Tripp, 16, with ex-fiancé Levi Johnston, and daughters Sailor Grace, 9, and Atlee Bay, 7, with ex-husband Dakota Meyer.

Despite the ongoing health struggle, she continues to be a dedicated mother while navigating this challenging chapter.

A Life in the Spotlight

Bristol first gained national attention during her mother’s 2008 vice presidential campaign.

Her teenage pregnancy with Tripp at 17 made headlines, and she was thrust into the public eye as a result.

Since then, her personal life, including her relationships and family dynamics, has often been the subject of media attention.

As Bristol continues her journey toward recovery, fans and followers are rooting for her as she faces this difficult challenge head-on.
