Bath & Body Works Unveils New Disney Princess Collection in Stores and Online Across the U.S. Featuring Signature Fragrances Inspired by Six Iconic Characters

Bath & Body Works has officially launched an enchanting new collection that allows fans to experience the world of Disney Princesses through fragrance.

The highly anticipated Disney Princess Collection was released both online and in stores on February 16, and it brings together beloved characters in a whole new sensory experience.

A Magical Collaboration Featuring Six Disney Princesses

The latest collaboration includes scents inspired by six iconic Disney Princesses: Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Moana, and Tiana.

Bath & Body Works has crafted 85 new products, with a variety of items such as perfumes, body wash, lip gloss, and candles designed to embody the essence of these beloved characters.

Prices range from just $1.95 to $99.95.

Maurice Cooper, Bath & Body Works’ Chief Customer Officer, shared his excitement about the collection, calling it one of their most extensive collaborations to date.

He emphasized how powerful scent can be in evoking emotions and memories, inviting customers to explore Disney’s fairy tale magic through these carefully crafted fragrances.

Fragrances Designed to Reflect Each Princess’ Unique Personality

Bath & Body Works worked with scent experts to ensure that each fragrance would capture the spirit of each princess and their individual personalities.

According to Liz Shortreed, Senior Vice President of North America & Global Softlines at Disney, the fragrances empower fans to “embrace their own inner princess” while connecting with the magic of Disney.

Each princess-inspired scent is designed to resonate with the character’s journey.

For example, the Cinderella scent combines gardenia, musk, and amber, meant to reflect the joy of seeing kindness and effort rewarded.

Meanwhile, the Tiana fragrance from The Princess and the Frog incorporates amber, water lilies, and wood notes to echo Tiana’s determined and hardworking nature.

Fans Share Their Love for the New Collection

Shoppers have taken to social media to share their excitement about the new Disney Princess Collection.

Many have raved about the fragrances, with one Instagram user commenting, “I got Cinderella and Belle and I’m in love.

I’ll take my husband to the store tomorrow to get me the Tiana collection.”

Another shopper said, “Grabbed the Cinderella candle yesterday – love it!”

However, not all responses were positive, with some customers expressing frustration over the collection’s popularity.

Some stores sold out of products by mid-afternoon, leaving shoppers disappointed.

One user commented, “They sold out of all the accessories at my store by 2 p.m. – I hope they restock soon!”

A Controversial Past But Strong Financial Results

The release of this collection follows a turbulent period for Bath & Body Works, particularly after the company faced backlash over a design on their Snowed In snowflake candle in late 2024.

Some customers pointed out that the snowflakes on the candle resembled white hoods worn by members of the Ku Klux Klan, leading to the product being removed from shelves and an apology issued.

Despite the controversy, Bath & Body Works has continued to perform well financially.

In its earnings report for the 13-week period ending November 2, 2024, the company reported $1.61 million in revenue, exceeding expectations.

CEO Gina Boswell expressed confidence in the company’s future, raising full-year guidance in light of the strong results.

The next earnings report is scheduled for release on February 27.
