According to Homan, a significant number of female migrants experience sexual assault, and others die trying to cross the border.

He pointed out that with the Trump administration reducing illegal immigration by 90%, countless lives have been spared.

“How many women aren’t being sexually assaulted? How many children aren’t dying crossing the river? How many aren’t being trafficked or poisoned by fentanyl?” he asked.

Defending U.S. Sovereignty

Homan made it clear that, just as other nations protect their borders, the U.S. has every right to secure its own.

He noted, “We have the right to our sovereignty, just like the Vatican does.”

A Comparison to Vatican’s Tough Policies

In a final comparison, Homan pointed out that the Vatican’s penalties for illegal entry into its territory are even tougher than those in the U.S.

The Vatican recently instituted fines ranging from $10,000 to $25,000 and prison sentences that could last from one to four years.

According to Homan, these penalties are more severe than those imposed by the U.S., underscoring his belief that strong immigration policies are necessary.
