Orlando Pirates are reportedly looking to add Samukelo Kabini, the promising 20-year-old defender from TS Galaxy, to their squad.

Kabini, who has been making waves in the league, has become a regular starter for his team, helping them secure a strong position in the standings, currently tied with Sekhukhune United and Kaizer Chiefs for fourth place.

Pirates’ Interest in Kabini

Although Orlando Pirates were the last club to show interest in the talented young defender, reports indicate they are now favorites to land him.

A source close to the situation revealed, “Pirates are keeping a close eye on Kabini, and so far, he’s been very impressive.”

There’s speculation that Pirates could make an official move for him at the end of the season.

Patrick Maswanganyi’s European Return?

Meanwhile, Patrick Maswanganyi, who has dazzled fans with his magic on the field, is rumored to be eyeing a return to Europe.

UD Oliveirense, his former club, is reportedly eager to bring him back.

SoccerLaduma confirmed that negotiations are already underway, moving past the initial inquiry stage.

“They are impressed by his progress and want him back in Portugal.

However, whether this deal goes through will depend on what Orlando Pirates is asking for Maswanganyi,” the report noted.

The Big Price Tag for Maswanganyi

There’s a major obstacle, though. Pirates have reportedly set a hefty price tag of R40 million on Maswanganyi, recognizing him as one of the country’s top players.

For the deal to happen, UD Oliveirense will need to either meet or exceed this amount.
