Tensions between Russia and Ukraine escalated once again as the Russian military launched another large-scale missile strike on Ukrainian targets.
In the early hours of February 11, multiple cruise and ballistic missiles were fired, triggering air raid alarms across Ukraine and causing widespread concern.
Russia Targets Ukrainian Military Sites with Missile Strikes
According to reports from Ukraine’s Air Force, cruise missiles—presumably Kalibr—were launched from the Black Sea, making their way from southern Ukraine toward the northeast.
The missiles were reportedly heading in the direction of the Poltava region, with further attacks targeting Alexandria, Svitlovodsk, and Kremenchuk.
Officials confirmed that the Russian Armed Forces also deployed ballistic missiles in the strike, increasing the level of destruction.
As a result, an air raid alert was activated in Kyiv and most other Ukrainian regions, urging residents to seek shelter.
Second Wave of Attacks Hits Key Ukrainian Positions
Military monitoring sources in Ukraine reported that Russia launched a second wave of missile strikes aimed at Ukrainian military infrastructure.
According to the Military Chronicle Telegram channel, this attack included Kh-69 air-launched cruise missiles and Iskander missile systems, which were used to strike strategic enemy positions.
Meanwhile, Strana.ua Telegram channel noted that Russian forces also deployed Shahed drones to attack Ukrainian positions in the Zmiyiv and Kharkiv districts from multiple directions, intensifying the offensive.
Ukraine Faces Emergency Power Outages as Attacks Continue
As explosions rocked several regions, Ukrainian authorities imposed emergency power outages to prevent further damage to critical infrastructure.
Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko confirmed the outages and warned that energy facilities remained under threat.
Halushchenko also stated that air raid alarms had been activated across almost the entire country, highlighting concerns that Russia was specifically targeting Ukraine’s gas infrastructure.
Officials remain on high alert, with fears of further strikes looming over major cities and energy hubs.
As the situation develops, Ukraine braces for potential additional attacks while the international community closely monitors the escalating conflict.
