The controversy over immigration enforcement has taken a new turn, with former ICE Director and current border czar Tom Homan pointing fingers at the FBI for leaking details about upcoming raids.
The leaked information, which exposed plans for a large-scale operation in Los Angeles, has sparked outrage within the Trump administration and raised serious concerns about officer safety.
Leaks Put Law Enforcement at Risk
Homan made the shocking revelation during an appearance on Hannity, stating that evidence suggests the FBI may be responsible for the breach.
He stressed that leaks of this nature don’t just give undocumented immigrants a warning—they put officers directly in harm’s way.
“It’s just not about tipping off the bad guys,” he said.
“You’re endangering the lives of the officers on the front lines.
Sooner or later, there’s going to be someone waiting to ambush them.”
The leaks, which cited an internal government document, exposed plans for a raid targeting undocumented immigrants with pending deportation orders.
The operation was meant to involve multiple agencies, including the FBI and DEA, but with the sensitive details now public, its future is uncertain.
Criminal Investigation Launched
The Trump administration isn’t taking the situation lightly.
Homan confirmed that the Deputy Attorney General has opened a criminal investigation into the leak, vowing to track down and prosecute the culprit.
“They’ve promised that not only will this person lose their job and pension, but they’ll also go to jail,” he said.
The FBI, already under scrutiny, now faces even more criticism, with Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem blasting the agency on social media.
“The FBI is so corrupt,” Noem wrote.
“We will work with any and every agency to stop leaks and prosecute these crooked deep-state agents to the fullest extent of the law.”
Tensions Escalate in Sanctuary Cities
Since Trump’s return to the White House, ICE agents have ramped up enforcement, particularly in sanctuary cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, and Atlanta.
The administration has also scrapped previous restrictions that prevented ICE operations in schools, churches, and hospitals.
These aggressive measures have sparked major protests, especially in Los Angeles, where demonstrators have taken to the streets, blocking freeways and waving flags from Mexico and other Latin American countries.
The situation escalated further last week when a 17-year-old boy was stabbed during a protest.
He remains in critical condition, adding another layer of tension to an already heated debate over immigration policy.
Will the Raids Still Happen?
With the leak now public and protests intensifying, it’s unclear whether the planned raid in Los Angeles will proceed as scheduled.
The Trump administration remains committed to strict immigration enforcement, but with growing resistance and internal leaks undermining operations, the road ahead is uncertain.
One thing is clear—this battle over immigration isn’t going away anytime soon.
