Earthquakes Hit San Bernardino in Rapid Succession with Tremors Felt in Cities Across Southern California

San Bernardino residents experienced a jolt Monday morning as a pair of earthquakes rippled through the region.

While minor, the quakes were enough to get people talking—at least, those who actually felt them.

Two Quakes Hit Within Minutes

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the first tremor struck at 9:44 a.m. local time, registering a preliminary magnitude of 3.5.

Just four minutes later, a second quake followed with a 3.0 magnitude.

Both were centered about three miles north-northeast of San Bernardino, with depths extending over four miles.

Shaking Felt Across Multiple Cities

The 3.5-magnitude quake was reported in several nearby areas, including Ontario, Victorville, Hesperia, and Riverside.

But the shaking wasn’t limited to those locations—people as far as Inglewood, Redondo Beach, Palm Springs, Huntington Beach, and northern San Diego County chimed in online, confirming they had felt it.

One user on X (formerly Twitter) simply stated, “Felt both!”

Others, however, were less impressed.

“Hell, I’m IN San Bernardino – and I needed social media to tell me there was an earthquake,” one person joked.

No Reports of Damage

Despite the widespread reports of minor shaking, there were no immediate accounts of damage or injuries.

Given California’s history with much stronger quakes, many locals shrugged this one off as just another day in the Golden State.

This story is still developing. Stay tuned for updates.
