Kanye West, now legally known as Ye, has once again found himself in the middle of controversy after a series of inflammatory posts on X (formerly Twitter).
Following several days of heated and anti-Semitic remarks, Ye’s account has been deactivated.
However, it remains unclear whether he removed it himself or if X took action against him.
Ye’s Final Words Before Logging Out
In his last post before the account was taken down, Ye expressed gratitude to Elon Musk, the owner of X, for allowing him to speak freely. “I’m logging out of Twitter.
I appreciate Elon for allowing me to vent.
It has been very cathartic to use the world as a sounding board,” he wrote.
This latest incident follows a pattern of Ye making controversial statements, stirring backlash, and facing consequences on social media platforms.
His online presence has increasingly shifted from music discussions to provocative and often hate-filled commentary.
A History of Social Media Bans
This isn’t the first time Ye has been restricted from social media.
In the past, he was locked out of X for nearly eight months due to posts that violated the platform’s policies against incitement to violence.
His most recent posts also sparked outrage, particularly for his support of disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing sex trafficking charges.
Additionally, he made multiple references to himself as a “Nazi.”
Ye also made headlines last week for his appearance at the Grammy Awards alongside his wife, Bianca Censori, who wore a barely-there outfit that grabbed attention on the red carpet.
Mental Health and Public Statements
For years, Ye has been open about his struggles with bipolar disorder, which has often been cited as a factor in his unpredictable behavior.
More recently, he claimed on “The Download” podcast that he had been diagnosed with autism.
As of now, X has not issued an official statement regarding the deactivation of his account.
What’s Next for Ye?
With his X account gone, it remains to be seen how Ye will continue to communicate with his fans. Will he return to another platform, or is this a sign that he’s stepping back from social media for good?
