Residents in Russia’s Krasnodar region had a tense night as Ukrainian drones reportedly targeted the area on February 10.
The attack led to debris crashing onto a high-rise residential building, raising fears among locals.
Drone Debris Hits Apartment Complex
According to Krasnodar Governor Veniamin Kondratyev, a Ukrainian drone was intercepted over the city, but its remains fell onto the roof of the Centralny residential complex.
The technical structure on top of the 19-story building sustained damage, and dramatic footage captured the moment the drone exploded mid-air.
Eyewitnesses shared videos showing fragments of the drone scattered on the street below, adding to the growing unease among residents. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Emergency Response and Damage Inspection
Authorities swiftly responded to the incident, with law enforcement and emergency services securing the site.
The affected area was cordoned off to prevent further risks, while officials conducted inspections of all apartments in the building to assess possible structural damage.
Additional Drone Strikes Near Slavyansk-on-Kuban
The attack didn’t stop in Krasnodar. That same night, Ukrainian forces also attempted to target Slavyansk-on-Kuban, a town located about 68 kilometers northwest of Krasnodar.
Residents reported hearing at least ten explosions in the sky, with the final four being particularly intense.
Before the blasts, witnesses described hearing the distinct buzzing sound of drones flying overhead.
Early reports indicate that Russian air defense systems were activated to intercept the incoming UAVs. In one instance, a home sustained damage as its windows were shattered by the shockwave.

As drone attacks become more frequent, concerns over regional security continue to rise.
Authorities in Krasnodar and surrounding areas remain on high alert, closely monitoring potential threats while ensuring the safety of residents.
