Chiefs Planning for Big Changes

Kaizer Chiefs are in the midst of a transition, with several players likely to leave as the team prepares for its next big move.

After letting a few players go during the recent transfer window, more exits seem to be on the horizon.

The team is gearing up for the upcoming transfer window and has already identified five key targets to strengthen their squad.

Players Expected to Depart

Several prominent Chiefs players are facing uncertain futures at the club, and they could be making their way out of Naturena soon.

Here’s a closer look at the players who might be leaving:

Fiacre Ntwari

Fiacre Ntwari could be on the move as part of a swap deal.

Chiefs have reportedly offered him to Chippa United in exchange for Nigerian goalkeeper Stanley Nwabili.

Ntwari has struggled to find favor with the management recently, and with Bruce Bvuma back as the number one goalkeeper, it seems unlikely he will remain at the club much longer.

Zitha Kwinika

Kwinika’s contract is set to expire in June 2025, and considering his position in the squad, it’s doubtful he will be offered a new deal.

Currently, he’s down the pecking order behind players like Rushwin Dortley, Inacio Miguel, and Given Msimango, which makes it less likely that he’ll feature in Chiefs’ future plans.

Reeve Frosler

Reeve Frosler has been linked with a move to other PSL clubs.

While it’s not certain yet whether Chiefs will entertain offers, Frosler’s future at the club seems to be up in the air, especially if another team comes in with a strong bid for the right-back.

Midfielder Departures on the Horizon

Edson Castillo

Edson Castillo’s time at Chiefs may be coming to an end.

With the arrival of Thabo Cele, there’s been little room for Castillo in the squad, especially with Chiefs already having several defensive midfielders on their books.

Castillo’s contract expires in June, and with a long-term injury currently keeping him sidelined, he may not have the opportunity to change the club’s decision.

Striker Under Pressure

Ranga Chivaviro

Ranga Chivaviro, whose contract is also up in June, could be the next striker to leave the club.

Chiefs have recently signed Glody Lilepo and Tashreeq Morris, putting more pressure on Chivaviro to perform.

With less time to prove himself, his future at the club is looking uncertain.
