It seems that police officers, already bound by law in the UK to never set down their truncheons, could be in for a surprising challenge.
As of today, over 300 backroom staff in the force are striking over the right to work from home.
While the officers themselves aren’t part of the walkout, the strike could still force them to step away from their regular duties to cover the gaps.
This may leave some of them juggling criminal investigations with administrative work.
Ironically, this situation isn’t the first time the police have faced a disruption like this, as history has shown that strikes within the force are nothing new.
