HDFC Bank is doubling down on its commitment to social entrepreneurship with the launch of the eighth edition of its flagship Parivartan Startup Grants programme.
This initiative aims to empower startups that are making a difference in critical areas like climate innovation, financial inclusion, and gender diversity.
Expanding Reach with More Incubators
This year, the programme has partnered with over 15 incubators and accelerators to mentor and support between 50 to 60 social impact startups across India.
These incubators, which include IIT Madras, IIM Ahmedabad Ventures, Villgro, ICAR Pusa Krishi, IIT Guwahati Bionest, and others, will play a crucial role in identifying and nurturing promising startups.
Financial Backing for Visionary Entrepreneurs
HDFC Bank has allocated a total budget of ₹20 crore, with individual grants going up to ₹50 lakh for selected startups.
This funding will help early-stage ventures scale their operations, refine their business models, and bring innovative solutions to pressing social challenges.
A Platform for Growth and Visibility
Over the coming months, these incubators will begin inviting applications from entrepreneurs across the country.
The initiative will culminate in a series of ‘Demo Day’ events, where startups will have the chance to showcase their work to potential investors, corporates, and media, opening doors to further opportunities and collaborations.
Focus Areas for 2025
For the financial year 2025, the programme is zeroing in on six key areas:
- AI for Social Good
- Climate Innovation
- Financial Inclusion
- Agriculture and Sustainable Rural Economy
- Education and Livelihood Enhancement
- Gender Diversity and Inclusion
Startups from across the country, including Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, and the North-East region, will be part of this nationwide push for social change.
A Legacy of Impact
The HDFC Bank Parivartan initiative has been instrumental in fostering sustainable and inclusive growth.
Since its inception in 2017, it has supported over 400 startups through partnerships with more than 120 incubators across India.
By focusing on financial inclusion, education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability, Parivartan continues to drive meaningful change in communities nationwide.
As this year’s edition unfolds, aspiring social entrepreneurs have an incredible opportunity to leverage this initiative for funding, mentorship, and visibility.
