All six people aboard, who were Mexican nationals, lost their lives, while at least six others on the ground were treated and later released from the hospital.

“My heart sank when I learned that an aircraft crashed at Cottman Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard in northeast Philadelphia tonight,” Peréz said in a statement on January 31.

The jet, owned by Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, was en route to provide transport for the pediatric patient who had been under care at Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia.
