Researchers in Peru Stand by the Authenticity of Alien Mummies After Six Years of Analysis and Controversy

A controversial discovery in Peru has ignited intense debate within the scientific community, with some researchers asserting that the so-called ‘alien mummies’ are genuine biological specimens.

While many dismiss the claims as a hoax, a dedicated team of scientists led by Dr. José Zalce, a former director of the Mexican Navy Medical Department, has spent years analyzing the bodies, leading them to believe otherwise.

Analyzing the Evidence of Alien Mummies

Dr. Zalce and his team have conducted extensive examinations of the 21 mummies, including DNA tests, X-rays, CT scans, and 3D reconstructions.

After six years of work, the team asserts they’ve found undeniable proof that the mummies are real, living organisms.

“We’ve identified fingerprints, bone wear, muscular features, and internal organs, which confirm these are 100 percent real biological beings,” Dr. Zalce said.

He even claimed that some of the mummies appeared to be pregnant, providing further evidence of their authenticity.

One of the most significant discoveries was the scan of a mummy that revealed what appeared to be a fetus with similar physical traits to the mummies themselves.

Dr. Zalce emphasized that this find made it impossible for the bodies to be fakes.

The Origins of the ‘Alien Mummies’

The first widespread attention for these mummies came in 2023 when UFO enthusiast Jaime Maussan presented two small, humanoid beings in the Mexican Congress.

Maussan claimed they were not part of Earth’s evolutionary history, noting that 30 percent of their genetic makeup was still unknown.

Dr. Zalce and his team, however, have been conducting a thorough investigation into these remains for several years, using a range of scientific techniques to verify their origins.

The mystery surrounding these specimens dates back to 2017 when Maussan, along with a team of paranormal researchers, claimed to have discovered a three-fingered mummified humanoid near the Nazca Lines.

This figure was found covered in a white powder believed to be used for preservation.

The Mysterious Fetus and Its Significance

In one of the most telling moments of the investigation, Dr. Zalce’s team discovered a fetus inside one of the mummies, named Montserrat.

The fetus, which had three fingers like the adult mummies, provided what Dr. Zalce described as crucial evidence of the specimens’ authenticity.

Journalist Jois Mantilla, who has closely worked with the researchers, echoed this sentiment, calling the discovery of the fetus one of the most important proofs of the mummies’ genuineness.

Dr. Zalce’s team has also estimated that Montserrat’s remains are about 1,200 to 1,600 years old, based on their analysis of the mummified body’s condition, gestational state, and bone structure.

An Unusual Species of Hominin?

Some researchers, including Mantilla, believe that the mummies may represent an unknown species of hominin—similar to humans but with significant anatomical differences.

Mantilla pointed out that while the beings’ hands and facial features are clearly not human, certain aspects of their anatomy, like their bone structure, suggest a link to human-like species.

He even speculated that these beings might have been genetically altered, pointing to similarities between the mummies and species like bamboo or chimpanzees.

In fact, a study on one of the mummies, named Maria, published in 2024, found biological similarities to humans but also significant structural differences, including an elongated skull that showed no signs of artificial cranial deformation.

Some researchers theorize that the being may have been genetically modified using human genes from the East.

Critics Challenge the Findings

Despite the strong support from Dr. Zalce and his team, not everyone is convinced by the claims.

Forensic archaeologist Flavio Estrada, who examined two of the mummies, dismissed them as “dolls” made from animal bones and synthetic materials.

He argued that they were not ancient remains but modern fabrications.

However, Dr. Zalce remains firm in his belief that the mummies are authentic, citing evidence like their unusual anatomical features and the presence of metallic implants inside their bodies, which have been analyzed and shown to contain rare alloys like copper, cadmium, osmium, aluminum, gold, and silver.

According to Dr. Zalce, these materials suggest advanced technology, possibly beyond what was available in ancient civilizations.

A New Frontier in Scientific Research

As the debate continues, some experts, including former Colorado prosecutor and current defense attorney Joshua McDowell, are advocating for further scientific testing.

McDowell believes that additional research could answer many of the unanswered questions about these mysterious beings.

He and the research team are working with the Peruvian Ministry of Culture to secure the resources needed for more in-depth genetic and forensic analysis.

“Given the unique nature of these specimens, there are a lot of unknowns that could be clarified with more advanced testing,” McDowell said.

“Our goal is to conduct these tests in a legally and culturally respectful way using the best methods available.”

While the debate over the authenticity of the ‘alien mummies’ rages on, it is clear that the findings so far have captivated both researchers and the public alike, raising more questions about the nature of these strange bodies and what they may reveal about the past.
