It wasn’t exactly the ideal start to his third day of testing, especially considering the £50 million per year deal he has with Scuderia Ferrari.
However, some fans on social media are already speculating that the crash might not be as bad as it seems—at least according to a quirky pattern from Hamilton’s past.
Fans Connect the Dots and See an Omen for Hamilton’s Future
Fans have quickly pointed out that Hamilton has faced similar mishaps in Spain before—and they turned out to be good omens for his title hopes.
In 2007, he had a high-speed crash during pre-season testing with McLaren in Valencia but went on to win the championship in 2008.
Similarly, in 2013, a brake failure caused him to crash during testing with Mercedes in Jerez, but he claimed the title the following year in 2014.
Based on these incidents, some believe that his latest crash might signal a future victory, potentially setting him up for a record-breaking eighth Drivers’ World Championship with Ferrari in 2026.
