Prince William opens up about Harry’s health during a visit to Lower Blakemere Farm on his Duchy of Cornwall estate amid ongoing family tensions

During a recent visit to a farm on his Duchy of Cornwall estate, Prince William made a remark about his brother, Harry, that caught the attention of many.

As the Prince strolled through Lower Blakemere Farm with Edward Harley, the Lord Lieutenant of Herefordshire, he casually mentioned, “Harry’s been poorly.”

This led to some confusion, as many assumed William was speaking about the Duke of Sussex.

However, sources confirmed that the royal wasn’t referring to Harry, but rather to someone else.

A Conversation at Lower Blakemere Farm

In a video captured from the visit, William was seen walking alongside Edward Harley as they discussed the farm’s journey to becoming net-zero.

The two men were making their way into the farm when William remarked, “Harry’s better now… he’s been poorly.”

When Harley responded with, “Harry has?” William clarified, “Yes, he’s been under the weather.”

The exchange ended shortly after as the two men were introduced to the farmers.

The Continuing Strain Between the Brothers

Despite William’s seemingly offhand comment, the relationship between him and Harry has been notably strained in recent years.

After Harry and his wife Meghan Markle moved to Montecito, California, in 2018, tensions between the brothers became public.

In his memoir Spare, Harry accused William of calling Meghan difficult, rude, and abrasive, even claiming that William had once pushed him into a dog bowl during a heated argument.

Though the brothers have had little interaction since then, they were seen together for the first time in two years at the funeral of their uncle Robert Fellowes in August 2024.

Their last public appearance together was at King Charles’ coronation, where they were in the same room but reportedly didn’t speak.

A Brief Reunion After the Release of Spare

Following the release of Spare, Harry reached out to his father, King Charles, in February 2024 for a brief meeting after his cancer diagnosis was made public.

Despite being hurt by his son’s recent actions, Charles has maintained a private stance of openness, suggesting he is always ready to keep communication open with Harry.

Similarly, after Kate Middleton’s shock cancer diagnosis last year, Harry and Meghan reportedly contacted William and Kate privately to offer support.

Prince William’s Visit to Lower Blakemere Farm

Amid the ongoing family dynamics, William appeared in good spirits during his visit to Lower Blakemere Farm.

The Prince, known for his passion for environmental causes, was on hand to learn about the farm’s journey toward sustainability.

Lower Blakemere Farm, which spans 630 acres and is part of the Duchy of Cornwall estate, has been a model for regenerative farming practices.

During his visit, William toured the farm, observing various environmental initiatives, including a new grain store and regenerative farming equipment.

As part of his long-standing commitment to environmental causes, the Prince is keen on supporting projects that aim to reduce carbon footprints and protect the planet.

Prince William’s Environmental Advocacy

Prince William’s visit is just one of many steps he has taken to address the environmental challenges facing the planet.

He launched The Earthshot Prize in 2020, inspired by John F. Kennedy’s Moonshot initiative, which united millions of people around a common goal.

The Earthshot Prize has since become a leading global campaign, awarding £1 million to five initiatives each year that show promise in solving pressing environmental issues.

Since its inception, the Earthshot Prize has granted over £20 million in prize money, supporting groundbreaking environmental projects around the world.

Additionally, the Prize has helped reduce or capture 420,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions, equivalent to removing 100,000 cars from the road for a year.

Earthshot winners have also worked to protect and restore vast areas of land and ocean, an effort that now spans over 170,000 square kilometers—an area roughly the size of Ireland and Iceland combined.

Prince William’s commitment to environmental advocacy continues to shape his royal engagements and initiatives, as he pushes for practical solutions to the world’s most urgent ecological problems.
