Mantle, who guest-starred as a drag queen, opened up about her experience with the 52-year-old actress during an interview on the podcast The Bald and the Beautiful with Trixie and Katya.
According to Kelly, Sofia’s behavior toward her staff left a lot to be desired.
While Kelly clarified that Vergara’s rudeness wasn’t directed at her personally, she was troubled by the way Sofia allegedly treated the crew members.
“It wasn’t the most pleasant experience I’ve ever had,” Kelly confessed, referencing the incident that left her disappointed.

Kelly recounted an episode where Sofia was allegedly difficult about wearing bobby pins to secure a wig.
According to Mantle, the crew kept asking Sofia to use bobby pins for a scene, but the actress reportedly resisted.
The situation reportedly became even more tense when Kelly had to place a crown on Sofia’s head.
Afterward, Sofia allegedly voiced her displeasure, telling Kelly to be cautious of her wig.
Kelly, in turn, jokingly suggested that Sofia might have been better off using the bobby pins.

While Kelly described the incident as unpleasant, she acknowledged that it could have been an isolated incident caused by a bad day.
“Maybe it was a bad day,” Kelly offered, expressing that Sofia is known for being “hilarious, beautiful, talented, and gorgeous,” so perhaps her behavior wasn’t representative of her usual demeanor.
