Who Is Eligible to Apply?

This program is open to startups that meet the following criteria:

The founders must be nationals of an African country and currently based in Africa.
Your startup must be registered and actively operating within Africa.
Your business should address specific challenges in the mining sector.
Startups at the pre-seed stage can apply, but those with a minimum viable product (MVP) or seed stage businesses are particularly encouraged to apply.
Startups led by women, persons with disabilities (PWDs), or other marginalized groups are highly encouraged to participate.

Evaluation Criteria: How Startups Will Be Assessed

Your startup will be evaluated based on several factors:

Innovative Potential (20%): Originality and technical feasibility of your solution.
Market Fit (20%): Relevance to mining industry challenges and validation of your target market.
Sustainability and Impact (15%): The environmental, social, and economic benefits your solution offers.
Team Capability (25%): Expertise and problem-solving abilities of your team, along with your commitment to the program.
Scalability and Viability (10%): Growth potential and the clarity of your revenue or fundraising strategy.
Alignment with Goals (5%): How well your startup aligns with the program’s mission of innovation and sustainability.
Presentation (5%): The clarity and communication of your vision and solution.
