Postbank has expanded its network, providing more regions where South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) grant beneficiaries can swap their Gold Cards for the new Postbank Black Card.

This expansion includes various stores in the Northern, Eastern, and Western Cape regions, making it more convenient for beneficiaries to collect their Black Card.

SASSA Gold Cards Still Valid for January 2025

In a recent update, Postbank assured SASSA Gold Card holders that they can continue using their Gold Cards for the collection of grants in January 2025.

The bank addressed concerns raised by some beneficiaries regarding rumors that the Gold Cards would no longer be valid after December 2024.

Postbank clarified that recipients can still collect grants with their existing Gold Cards until they are able to replace them with the Black Cards.

Postbank’s official statement on social media read: “Attention all SASSA grant beneficiaries.

SASSA Gold Cards do not expire on 31 December 2024.

You will be able to collect your SASSA grant with your current SASSA Gold Card for January grant payments.

Ignore any information that your SASSA Gold Card will not work for grant payments for January 2025.”

Where to Collect Your Postbank Black Card in the Cape Region

Beneficiaries in the Western, Northern, and Eastern Cape can now easily collect their new Postbank Black Card from a variety of retail outlets.

Beneficiaries Can Also Collect in Gauteng

In addition to the Cape regions, Postbank has also expanded the collection points in Gauteng.

The South African previously reported that numerous stores across the province are now offering beneficiaries the chance to pick up their Postbank Black Cards.

As more retailers join the initiative, new locations continue to be added to the list.
