Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has expressed his determination to strengthen specific areas of the team before the transfer window closes.

As the club prepares for the upcoming season, Nabi is focused on making sure the squad is fully equipped to compete for major titles, aiming to end their nine-year trophy drought.

Recent Signings Bolster the Squad

In the current transfer window, the Chiefs have already made significant moves by signing seven new players.

Among the latest additions are goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari, defenders Rushwin Dortley, Inácio Miguel, Bradley Cross, and Bongani Sam, as well as midfielders Gaston Sirino and Njabulo Blom.

These signings are part of the club’s strategy to build a strong foundation for the season ahead.

More Signings Expected Before Season Starts

Despite the new arrivals, Nabi believes there’s still work to be done.

With the Betway Premiership kicking off on September 14th, he emphasized the need for additional reinforcements during the league’s launch event in Sandton.

The Tunisian coach specifically pointed out that the team is actively searching for a striker and a winger to complete the squad.

Nabi’s Vision for a Stronger Squad

Nabi, who previously coached Yanga and AS FAR Rabat, highlighted the importance of quality across all positions.

“A club of Kaizer Chiefs’ stature requires top-notch talent in every line—defense, midfield, and attack,” he explained.

However, he acknowledged that finding a high-caliber striker can be more challenging than reinforcing other positions, and emphasized the need for patience in identifying the right players.

Preparing for the Season Opener

As the Chiefs continue their search for new talent, the team is gearing up for their first league match against Marumo Gallants, set to take place on Saturday, September 14th at 17:30.

With the transfer window still open, Nabi and his staff remain focused on finalizing a squad capable of achieving their ambitious goals for the season.
