EFCC Files 17 Charges Against Okorocha

Senator Rochas Okorocha of Imo West has been charged with 17 criminal offences by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

On Monday, the anti-graft agency filed a 17-count complaint before a federal high court in Abuja.

According to the EFCC, the former Imo governor colluded with others to steal N2.9 billion in public monies, including a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and five firms.

Other defendants include Anyim Nyerere Chinenye, Consolid Projects Consulting Limited, Perfect Finish Multi Projects Limited, Pramif International Limited, Legend World Concepts Limited, and Naphtali International Limited.
