NASS transmits Electoral Bill to Buhari for assent

On Monday, January 31, the Clerk of the National Assembly, Arch. Olatunde Amos Ojo, delivered the Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill to President Muhammadu Buhari for assent. The Bill is now with the President, according to a source.

The President’s consent to the modified Bill, however, is questionable. This comes amid reports that governors are unhappy with the new amendments and are planning to persuade the president not to approve them.
